I got this as a free gift with my latest British food order. (It was that or a packet of Haribo.) Target practice?

The whole article is well worth a read for some great insights into modern-day web design and user behaviour.

"[...] we have implemented a new "infinite scroll" feature, which allows users to simply move down to the bottom of the page in order to load a new article. To get the most out of this interactive experience, readers are encouraged to constantly scroll downward on their browsers at all times, during every moment of every day."

On this year’s Blue Beanie Day, as we celebrate web standards, we also celebrate our community’s remarkable diversity—and pledge to keep things moving in a positive, humanist direction.

Racism, sexism, misogyny and other forms of foolish, wrongful pre-judging have no place in our beautiful community. As hard as we work to make sure our websites work for everyone, let’s work twice as hard to be certain we are just as open-hearted and welcoming to our peers as our designs are to our users.

I am really liking the GOG and Galaxy approach. Next time I'm in Windows and have a bit of time for gaming stuff I'll be trying this out.

GOG Galaxy, the DRM-free online gaming platform, has just entered public beta! It offers one-click installation, automatic updates, library management, friends lists, chat, and so much more.

Get it here: http://j.mp/GOGgalaxy

Check it out at the link above and give it a try yourself - but no pressure, it's fully optional!

Does anyone have experience with/recommendations of translation platforms for sites, apps and docs? I'm looking at open source and commercial options.

+David Oliver Python just isn't very portable in my experience, and runs into some of the same problems as Ruby regarding poor packaging and supportability. So yeah, I don't blame you. While I have confidence that with diligence you can get Pootle working just fine, I have a lot less certainty concerning its long term maintainability.

★ I am writing a book. It's called Atomic Design. http://bradfrost.com/blog/post/atomic-design-book/

And I'm really excited about it!
So I am writing a book. And I am really excited about it. It's called Atomic Design and it's all about creating and maintaining effective interface design systems. Here's what I'm going to cover in the book: Explain why it's increasingly essential to think of interfaces as systems rather than a ...

Apparently, the book's from 2010 and so isn't a new release. But still, this is shockingly terrible. It managed to be both patronising and a bad example of how to behave.
