Wrote this blog post yesterday on the question, Why do I love the internet?. It's kinda cheesy, but let me know what you think.

http://www.davidmartindesign.com/blog/why-do-i-love-the-internet/
Why do I love the internet? That’s a question I answer almost every day! I love the internet because it connects us with ideas to understand what others have to say. It’s a wonderful medium that is filled with lolcats, interesting tweets, and my friend’s tasty treats. It’s an escape from reality that allows us to dream …

Super informative article about staying relevant in an ever changing landscape of search marketing.
Google is increasingly rewarding broader marketing strategy, which means your job is evolving. It isn't enough to focus on search marketing; we all need to become marketing strategists. Here's how.

I think it's very easy to spend too much time on social without seeing the return. I think there are many other important things that CEOs have on their plate to consider and many of them at the end of the day don't find the time to be "social". I think it's a good strategy to pay attention to the social channels and to have a presence, but it's a hard game to play. There are several people who do it right though, but it takes a lot of work.

I was doing some research on a cold call that I receive for retargeting. We currently work with a company that handles our PPC and remarketing through Google Adwords and Bing, but I was curious to find out more about Adroll. When I did a search (while on the phone), I was impressed with their website. Then, I Googled them to find out about their reputation. Their CEO comes up and his Quora answers came up. Then, I saw his responses and they really made a lot of sense. This impressed me and made me think, "wow". This company gets it. Their CEO gets it. Now, I'm really gonna dig into this and see if maybe this might be something to consider. Just my two cents.

Did you know 68% of CEOs have no social presence whatsoever? Most CEOs use social networks for customer communication. But why are so many missing?

Do you think its important as a CEO, or for your CEO, to be on social media?

Very interesting. Thanks for writing this +Erik Stolterman - Google has been doing great at keeping things simple for users. I agree that if we conform to everyone doing the same thing it will be boring, but I don't think that's going to happen. It's nice to have standards though...
It is really interesting to read about the new initiative from Google that is labeled "Material Design". It is a new interface 'language'.  Google has released an excellent Introduction that shows and explains the principles ...

So nice working with Eva, Andrew, and Sophia to get a solid wood enclosure to protect our little chickens. We've made it Great Dane proof. :)

+sajeev vk - Not sure why you asked on this thread, but I figured I might as well answer your question. I haven't really read a lot of books on CSS, but I can say that the website http://css-tricks.com/ is a very good resource and has lots of good videos, tutorials, and articles that will help you learn css. The best thing, in my opinion, is to create a simple web page and just try different css styles with it until you get the hang of it. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I am happy to help.
