My brother is buying an Intel processor should he wait until the new broadwell desktop CPUs come out. They aren't out yet right?

Buy a 120hz monitor now or wait for the g-sync monitors?

Well in the end I chose neither. I followed +Ylke van Spankeren's advice and ordered an IPS panel (a Dell Ultrasharp U2414H). When it gets here I am going to try and overclock it to 80hz as my graphics card won't be able to push much more than 80 fps anyway. It looks to be a high quality panel with relatively decent input lag and ghosting for an IPS panel.

Hey guys, every now and then (maybe once a week on average) when I start my games they run in slow motion. I don't mean low frames per second but actually slow motion. This has happened on and off over the past year since I built my pc, the latest games to do so are Far cry 4 and BF4 . I am on Windows 7, I have always had the latest nvidia drivers. I have a zotac GTX 670 Amp edition. It can happen when I first start up and go straight into a game so I don't think it will be related to overheating. Any ideas?

Help, I am still very confused. +Jody Wilson Suggested I upload a video of this slow motion phenomena. It happened again and I recorded it with shadowplay. I downgraded the video in handbrake using automatic mode (because my internet is too slow to upload in full quality). Strangely, the re-encoded video runs full speed (although the video and audio drops frames (skips) to catch back up I guess). The original is about 2x slower. I guess it has something to do with the framerate. Maybe this whole issue is related to v-sync? Just an idea..What is going on?

I have a Motorola Cyber Monday promo code to save £100 on a Moto X if anyone wants it. I am guessing it will work unless it is linked to my account. Does anyone want to try it? Comment and I will message it to you. :)

The YouTube app option to choose streams is no longer showing 1080p as an option. Does anyone know why? I am running cm11 on an lg g2.

I used to get screen tearing all the time on my 50hz tv but now I am using a 60hz monitor I don't think I've seen it once. Whats up with that?

Hey guys for the past few months I have just been using the fans which came with my case. But now that I am really pushing my graphics card they are getting pretty loud. What's the quietist way to cool my PC? Quieter fans? Water cooling? Something else?

and btw you can also use software to tweak the fan speeds.  i use msi afterburner.  bad air flow can also cause noise, esp if you have a side fan.  best set up i've used is having 2 120mm fans at the front sucking air, one giant fan at top to exhaust air and one small fan at back set up at slow speed also set on exhaust.  i've noticed that if i turn on my side case fans, it makes noise and even increases cpu and gpu temps.  also i recommend scythe silent pc fans.
