Hey guys/gals, I'm looking for someone to take over ownership of the page.  I haven't been active here for a few months, and rarely play BL anymore. If you're interested let me know. Thanks.

Borderlands 3 isn’t being made, but two new Gearbox IP are - http://www.polygon.com/2014/2/14/5411514/borderlands-3-homeworld-new-gearbox-software-games

Despite the phenomenal successes of Borderlands and Borderlands 2, developer Gearbox isn't currently working on a sequel to the endless-weapons action title, CEO and president Randy Pitchford told Polygon.

"We are not working on Borderlands 3," he said during an interview last week. "That is unqualified. We have more to do in the franchise, but no there isn't a Borderlands 3."

And it isn't a question of semantics, that they're working on a sequel that isn't a sequel. Put simply, Gearbox doesn't have time right now to develop a new Borderlands.

They can take longer to develop it, but the thing is - they haven't started yet.

Report: Next Borderlands is Borderlands the Pre-Sequel for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - http://www.polygon.com/2014/4/7/5589566/borderlands-the-pre-sequel

The next Borderlands game will be called Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and it is being developed by 2K Australia, according to a report by online retailer GamePointsNow.

Citing exclusive information but not its source, GamePointsNow says the game will be set in the five-year span between the stories of Borderlands and Borderlands 2. The game will be set on Pandora's moon, and the H-shaped base that orbits it, said GamePointsNow, and there will be four new classes of characters, including Fragtrap, a weaponized version of the Claptrap robot.

This floating movie theater might just be the coolest place on Earth
news.yahoo.com

Movie theaters are inherently awesome places to be on their own, evoking memories of past big-screen adventures and nights spent eating popc

Love this place. Great spot to catch a bulls/hawks game, and typically a pretty good crowd for those. Friendly wait staff, very engaging and attentive. The new menu has given the kitchen a second near on life. Tacos are great, as is the derby burger (huge!). Wash it down with the big onion beer of the month.

Sheffield's seems small, but it is not. At all. Seemingly just keeps going and going and going. 3 bars assure that wait times for drinks are never too long, and there's typically always space to stand and chat with your friends. Best move though is to try and snag a spot on the patio in the summer. Somehow, despite the location, it seems really private and secluded from the riff raff in the surrounding neighborhoods. Food is decent, but you don't need it to be great to enjoy the place.

The store always seems kind of sad to me, like a too old/couldn't get in/didn't want to wait in line Beaumonts crowd. The only constants here are the dinginess, and the cheap bud lights. Serves it purpose well though, staying open later than everyone else, so in that respect it performs well. Plus, there's a pop-a-shot basketball game in the back.

Thalia was awesome, I was really surprised on how much I liked the venue. It was quite a bit bigger than I expected, more wide than long, which allowed a good number of people to get nice and close . The bar in the back was well tended and wait times there were short. They also had an excellent selection of beers and cocktails, far better than other venues I've been to around town. Coat check upstairs is $4, downstairs is $2. The sound was really nice here too, both bands I saw were clear and well balanced, which is really what you ask for when going to a show. Lights we're great, which wasn't something i thought a venue of this size was going to be able to pull off. Lights we're more "The Riv" than they were "Lincoln Hall", if that makes any sense. All in all, a great venue, and I'll make it a point to go back.

If you wanna get weird on the north side this is the place. Probably hard to tell when you just walk in, but going through the double doors in the back leads to one of the more entertaining dance parties around. $3 well tequila? Sign me up. This place is themed like a 60's bar and you'll notice that as soon as you walk in. Lots of nods to those days on the walls. The front room is more for chatting and relaxing with your pals, while the back is where the booty shaking happens. Photo booth and pool table spice things up a bit.

Have you heard of Augie's near Wrightwood and Ashland? I swear its the same place. Neighborhood bar with cheap drink and lively people. Can get surprisingly dancey. Lottie's is a decent bar for a cheap night out of gettin weird and/or people watching, because it's a congregation of all the kinds of people you find out in Wicker/Bucktown.

I used to really like schoolyard, but that was a few years ago. I hadn't been in since 2013 and decided it was time to get back in, expecting the nice neighborhood bar I remembered. Our group sat in the back of two rooms, and at 1:15ish AM the bar started to close down the room we were in. I didn't particularly like way that was handled, we felt booted without warning, so I tired to explain to the manager that it wasn't appreciated. Unfortunately I got a lot of sass in response, so with few options left, we closed the tab w/o tipping, since it was understood among us that we were unsatisfied with our experience. (We each had 2 beers, its not like we had bottle service and stiffed her) The waitress then came back and asked for a tip, something i had never seen or heard of before, to which i tried to explain that there aren't many options for expressing displeasure in a restaurant, and unfortunately the first time I tried i didn't get through. My advice was to seek recourse from her manager. We left, and we're across School street going north on Southport and the manager then comes out and asks for a tip. C'MON dude, you're the same guy who didn't have time for me earlier, now I'm getting chased down the street. I gave him the same story she got, got a sarcastic thumbs up, and no (verbal) response because he went back inside before I finished. Used to be a fun bar, probably still has trivia, suffers from poor managerial skills and customer relations. 1 star because our waitress was good, and beer is adequately priced.
