Our Teacher's Day Ceremony was very special here in Thailand.  All of our students honored us and did a great job preparing all of the flower arrangements.  It was an event to be cherished as all of the student's smiles and bright eyes showed their love for us!  It is a private school and the students are very well behaved and respectful.

My new school I moved up to.  It is a private school and has a very strong staff of great teachers who are a pleasure to work with.  We have very young students, but I have classes with P-5, P-6, M-2 & M-3 students.  Their ages are from 10 to 14 years old.  The grounds are beautiful and it is a wonderful school with all of the students so excited to have a teacher from America to help them learn English.  I have my own classroom with air-conditioning and all the students come here so I am not changing rooms.  They installed  a new projector and a new printer for our classroom.

On the way back from Laos to Korat, I had to turn around and go back up the road before this beautiful light disappeared.  I just had to capture this eerie sunset...I love the mood.

Our School Director today is awarding some outstanding students here in Thailand for projects in honor of World Environment Day (WED). It is celebrated on the 5th of June each year and was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 at Stockholm, Sweden, to raise environmental awareness and to protect the environment. The international theme for this day, Give Earth a Chance, is chosen by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to heal the sick planet which covers many kinds of pollution. On this day people and schools always have colorful activities such as street rallies, bicycle parades, green concerts, essays, competitions, drawing pictures and other projects by our students, even tree planting.

A great motorbike trip I did alone up to Nong Khai, Thailand as the other riders could not make it on those days. Vientiane in Laos is a wonderful small city to wander around in.

Occupation
E. P. English Conversation Teacher in Thailand.
Skills
I provide English conversation training for companies and their employees. Here in Korat I have provided English conversation training for Nikon employees. The Korat police department used my services to teach their officers and detectives effective English for patrol stops, interrogations and questioning at crime scenes. I also teach students privately and at two language agencies here in town.

Some other hobbies of mine are chess club competitions, maintaining a saltwater reef aquarium and motorbiking through Thailand on my V-Twin Chopper. I enjoy gardening here in Thailand with the beautiful plants and flowers. Competing in pool tournaments in America and now enjoying snooker tournaments in Thailand is a great pastime.
Education
  • Teaching P-5, P-6 and M-2 and M-3 Thai students.
Masters in Early Childhood Education. Working in Thailand, 2012 - present
Currently teaching "E.P." English Program in Korat. I teach using two books for English, core and supplemental which also have two work books the students use for additional assignments. I teach Health/Physical Education and Geography/History. I emphasize teaching conversation English. Since Thailand has much grammar being taught, but is weak on actual speaking of English. I enhance my students learning by using and writing Power Point Presentations. Using this modern slide show with audio to teach English, brings a new visual presentation to my students and helps them to retain, focus and speak English at a much faster rate. Our E.P. rooms are air-conditioned which helps them stay focused and comfortable.
  • English Education Service Co., Ltd.. in Bangkok.
    2012 - 2013
Taught English conversation using powerpoint presentations to mathayom level 1 and 2 Thai students. Instructed my students in reading and speaking English. Prepared mid-term tests and final tests at the end of each semester.
