Excerpt from a letter written by Robert Heinlein to Paul Kantner, September 18, 1969, as excerpted in volume 2 of Bill Patterson's biography. The album in question was Blows Against The Empire which draws on Heinlein's novel Methuselah's Children. Apparently Paul Kantner was the only person who ever asked Heinlein in advance for permission to swipe his ideas.
