Starting January 24th, one of the more handy features the social network had to offer will return. The means you will be able to create and join events on the web, but the tool won't be part of G Suite right now.
The company continues to tweak its social network.

In case you are wondering how things are looking for other countries: +SISTRIX see a continuous increase in the importance of HTTPS-pages in both Spain and Germany.
Google just took off the gloves: yesterday was the day that my Chrome Browser started showing not only the green encryption-lock for HTTPS pages, but also explicitly telling me that the page is “Secure”. The deal is most likely an expensive campaign for Oral-B but the product seems to be part of the Amazon Native advertising platform "campaign landing pages" which into revenues from existing DFP players such as Google's DoubleClick. But I think it's a brilliant idea considering the shift of offline retail purchases into e-commerce.
I found it very interesting to see how Amazon is leveraging it's 1.5 million (Quantcast) to 3.5 million (Alexa) visitors a day with cross promotion with key brands like Oral-B. Leading upto Black

Introduction
I play in the digital space and have been doing it since 1994 so I have a good understanding and interest in most topics so please engage with me and feel free to share and comment on anything I share via this channel. 

I started out in this industry in 2008 under The Lost Agency as a web analyst, since I started back then have worked with several web development companies and several marketing agencies. I've worked on projects focused on Google AdWords, Google Analytics, WebTrends, Facebook Advertising, Twitter Campaigns, Social Media Strategies, SEO Audits, SEO Technical Projects, Link Building Projects and Digital Strategies.

I usually try and blog over at Lost Press Marketing which is my main site but also can be found writing for several industry blogs when I get a good topic and some headspace to write a decent post. I also love promoting conferences and events and working to increase the number of interviews done with industry players.

I'm now based in Amsterdam working for Marktplaats which is part of ebay classifieds group.  Marktplaats is a leading Dutch classifieds platform for Autos, HolidaysServices, Daily Deals, Outlets and more!

I also work with the awesome and highly social team of 2dehands.be and 2ememain.be which is the largest free classifieds site in Belgium. I also have a travel website that I blog about my travels on Travel Network.
