My first attempt at Tiger bread. I'm really quite pleased both with the appearance and flavor. It was a bit of a challenge in that at almost every step I was sure I had done something wrong and that it wouldn't turn out.
I've never made tiger bread so I am not sure of the step. However, yours looks great and if you are happy with it then it was a total success. No need to be afraid of it not turning out mate, you did good work.
+Heidi Adick Sheri is correct, it has a second coating, the base bread is made with typical bread flour or A.P. flour, and the coating is usually made with rice flour, although I have seen some variations on this. Also most versions that I saw when researching Tiger Bread use some amount of Sesame Oil, mine uses 1 tablespoon in both the base bread, and in the coating + 1 tablespoon of canola oil in the coating), which gives the bread nice sesame flavor though out.
