Lichfield, A History in Focus
Take a history tour of Lichfield with a difference! Discover the history of Lichfield while also learning some essential and informative photography tips from two local experts!

Tour guide Jonathan Oates will provide you with some great historical facts about many of Lichfield’s most iconic buildings and famous people while photographer David James Gough will give photo tips to help you take great photos along the route.

You don’t need to be an expert photographer as the tour is for anyone. You can bring along your smartphone, tablet, compact, SLR or DSLR – anything that you are comfortable taking pictures with really!

The tour lasts one and a half hours and involves gentle walking with plenty of stops along the way to listen to the history, take the photographs and, perhaps, just admire the views!

The tour starts with a 15 minute briefing session while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee in the 15 on the Corner café on Bore Street before heading off towards the Lichfield Guildhall building and a circular tour of Lichfield taking in Market Square, Dam Street, Lichfield Cathedral, Beacon Park and Bird Street.

The cost of the tour is £10.00 per person – please note that the refreshments at 15 on the Corner are not included but that the tea and coffee will be at a special discounted rate for tour customers. Places are strictly limited, early booking is strongly advised

Date: Wednesday 7 June 2017. Arrive 1.45 for a 2pm tour start
Date: Saturday 17 June 2017. Arrive 10.45am for a 11am tour start
