NEW BLOG POST! I spent 4 days in New York, and photographed most of what I ate. Here's the run-down, in photographs, of what I ordered and how I tried to stay #healthy . With shoutouts to #Bin41 , #GustOrganics , #AmigosNYC , #CaracasArepasBar and #Bareburger !
I spent four jam-packed days in New York City. While the One World Trade Center stair race was a huge deal, I had many other adventures and took photos chronicling them. There's a lot to share, so ...

I've settled into a routine where I only do weigh-ins once a month. If I do them more frequently, I start to obsess over the numbers and I don't need that particular obsession in my life. If I do t...

Need a healthy, easy #recipe for this weekend? Look no further. This one, for Brussels Sprouts with Carrots and Raisins, involves Brussels sprouts, carrots AND raisins. Go figure.
I recently had a wonderful meal at a restaurant, including a great side dish of Brussels sprouts with grapes. It was delicious. I wanted to recreate that dish at home the other day, but I was fresh...

NEW BLOG POST! My final NYC post. Yesterday was food-centric, and this post is activity-centric: how I stayed active, and what I saw while walking around New York. Lots of photos - so check it out!
I spent four full days in New York City, and excluding getting to and from the airport, I only got in a car once, and that was the morning of my big race. Apart from that, I walked and took subways...

NEW BLOG POST: I competed in what will probably be the most important stair race of my life. It was at One World Trade Center in New York City, and it benefited an amazing organization called #TunnelToTowers Foundation. Click the link for my recap. ‪#‎T2Tclimb‬
Imagine that instant when something or someone truly takes your breath away. Everything freezes for a split second, and a flood of emotion saturates you. It may be awe or love, shock or sorrow, com...

I called Pioneer Plumbing in a pinch - my kitchen sink wouldn't drain - and they had someone knocking on my door an hour later. Justin, my plumber, was professional, helpful, and informative, and he cleared the blockage - although it was harder than he was anticipating. Because of the prompt visit and the satisfactory results, I'd recommend Pioneer Plumbing.
