+Lauren Kolod Great points.  I'm looking forward to working with this group and meeting others as well. Sounds like we have a bunch of folks using Google on Apple, so I'm sure you all have some tips/tricks to swap as we move along.

Last month, Google hosted the Education on Air conference (https://educationonair.withgoogle.com/), where over 100 educators shared ideas on topics ranging from Google Forms and Scripts in the classroom to creating Digital Citizens. Many of us presented or attended sessions, but what have we done since?  Have we applied any of the ideas picked up during the first 30 days since the conference?  The answer is yes!  Come participate and share your takeaways or hear how the conference inspired several GEG Chicagoland members. Jump into summer with a plan to apply to your own classroom/school.
This Hangout On Air is hosted by David Chan. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

Nice session, David, Jennie, Hank & Mina.  I got home a bit too late to watch live, but I watched the recorded session.  I definitely need to figure out Google_ to join the party!!  Thanks.

All smooth for 600+ here taking ELA - Grade 9 - EOY  on Chromebooks.  For test admins, remind them to change the dropdown to EOY from PBA as we had many default to PBA and they couldn't see the sessions.  Other than that, very minimal tech issues.

Did both in one day, so minimal issues when they submitted their final answers today.  Some rooms forgot to tell them to do so, so we had to resume and they had to log back in.

We're ready to roll with our first study group.  This will be a 10-week cohort focused on taking the Educator Level 1 exam.  You can find resources for the units at the link shared here.  Starting Monday, 7/27 and each week, we'll share resources, posts, reflections, and more from a variety of GEG CHI members.  Come join us and let's learn together. Next week, we'll begin with Units 1 and 2.  See you then!

You might have seen the new training center resources at g.co/edutrainingcenter...who's up for getting together to study? You remember - all-nighters, lots of coffee, the occasional 3 am trip to the 24-hour Burger King. OK, none of that will take place with our GEG Study Group, but if you're looking to follow a 10-week study pace and network with other awesome GEG CHI folks, leave a comment, and we'll notify you when we get started.
