Ugh, Facebook....

Yes Facebook Is Throttling Your Reach...and Laughing All the Way to the Bank

I think the comment +Jay Baer made on another share of his article below is insightful: Facebook doesn't care if you or I leave, because the Nikes and Aeropostales aren't going anywhere, and they are spending millions to promote their content in Facebook. It makes sense that Facebook would clear out the Baltic and Mediterranean brands to make room in people's news feeds for the Boardwalks and Park Places.

Jay concludes: why don’t we stop bitching about Facebook, realize that they snookered the business community, and get back to work? And he offers four ways you can respond to "Reachpocalypse."

#facebook   #onlinemarketing   #plusonly   #jaybaer
Facebook's declining organic reach for businesses corresponds precisely with its increase in stock price. No surprise! Here's 4 ways to combat declining Facebook effectiveness.

Tell us anyway you like: through video, internet-meme, email or by using #SimplyVent on your favourite social media site.

Story
Introduction
Social Media and Community Manager for Simply Business.  Social media addict.  Owner of two crazy cats.

Previous to this I worked at Barclay's which was possibly the worst career move I ever made.  Still, we have to make some stupid mistakes or we'd never learn.

And prior to that I worked at Asda stacking shelves and serving customers.  I'd love to say I hated it but I met some of the greatest and coolest people I know there so it holds a place in my heart for being awesome.

Great overall hotel and the refurbishment makes the place look much more modern and contemporary. We were a little hesitant to go after seeing the pictures in the magazine as they seem very lifeless and cold. As soon as we arrived, we knew this wasn't the case; it's been given a much needed face lift - much better than the old colonial image that most Riu hotels have. The staff in the resort were second to none and nothing was too much trouble for them. Mexican people just seem so friendly! Food was fantastic and very fresh, cooked right in front of you. We did have one down side however: on the first week we had a torrential tropical thunderstorm (I've never witnessed lightning quite like that before!) and as a result there wasn't much to do as everybody was relegated to either sitting in their room or in the lobby - the staff did all they could to keep everybody fed and happy but there's not much they could do to be honest other than to let it pass over. All in all, one of the best Riu hotels we've ever stayed in - we'll be going back in a year or two for more :)
