For small businesses, getting advice can cost. But if you work out what you need help in, and work with a trusted, quality consultant, it can turn things around for your business, for good.
But how do you know what advice to pinpoint, and where to go to find quality, rather than fluff? Yesterday, the government launched the brand new Growth Voucher
initiative: a scheme designed to boost randomly selected businesses with £2,000 of quality advice and support, with a dedicated Marketplace to help people find, take and rate advice from nationwide suppliers and professional bodies. As keen sponsors of the Marketplace, we're putting together a quick fire session of tips and opinion from people in the know – what's their experience of business advice, and how will the Marketplace help businesses grow?
Along with +Enterprise Nation
, creators of the newly launched Marketplace, we're delighted to announce three other fantastic panellists, including +Daryl Woodhouse
from Advantage business Partnerships ltd
(they're signed up as advisors on Marketplace); David Galbraith
, an online store selling custom designed flasks as well as Nickolas Russell
. Nickolas' team helps businesses find short-term commercial space for retail, art, design, dining, social and speciality projects around the UK.
As ever, the hangout is open to all of your questions and comments, so if you want to ask the panellists a question, or disagree with what we’re saying let us know in the comments below or by using the #businessisGREAT
