I was a monster in the classic Dr. Who and the hero of two Bollywood action movies. The first time I ever went online, back in 1997, I had a vision. The Internet was going to bring humankind to a Golden Age, a new period of Enlightenment, the best of possible worlds. Instead, we got lolcats.

As I mentioned in my previous post, things are starting to move as far as the Setouchi Triennale 2019 is concerned, and today I was with some people from Koebi Network and the Triennale’s organizing committee for a Tour de Shodoshima. And I mean a…

I woke up early morning and went to Seto Inland Sea to take photographs of seaweed farming.

Nori is the Japanese name for edible seaweed species and it’s a specialty of Kagawa pref., Japan. It is used chiefly as an ingredient (wrap) of sushi. Finished products are made by a shredding and rack-drying process that resembles papermaking. Production and processing of nori is an advanced form of agriculture. Farming takes place in the sea where the Pyropia plants grow attached to nets suspended at the sea surface and where the farmers operate from boats. The plants grow rapidly, requiring about 45 days from “seeding” until the first harvest. In Japan, over 600 square km of coastal waters are given to producing 350,000 tonnes (340,000 long tons).

Well, some preparations of the Setouchi Triennale 2019 have started a while ago (pretty much as soon as the 2016 edition was over), some others won’t really get started before a few more months, but they kinda started for me at least. 😉 First of all, the…

Damn... Just when I was thinking about ways to make Google Plus more "useful" (i.e. ways I could use it more, but I really love this social network, but yes, like most people I was less and less active on it), it's shutting down.

Like, for real, three days ago, I thought that I need to reorganize my communities, circles, etc to trim down a bunch of things, refocus on certain other things and so on, the news of G+ shutting down was released.

I may still be here a little until the end. However, if you still want to follow me and you're not already following me on Twitter or Facebook, may I advise that you do so? (links are on my "about" page)

Oh by the way, the Setouchi Triennale's older sibling aka the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field is happening now.

You should go check it out if you can (and I should too one of these days):
