Climate change does not create its own destruction. It comes from people who creates it. The melting ice in the north and south is in fact mother nature's retaliation due to human ignorance and greed.
Even the first person said 'if I had to choose' showing there is a flaw in the system with only 2 operators for cars.
There are plenty of people with illnesses who don't get this free travel who are just as worthy.
The claims that you 'regular, reliable and affordable' are just false. It's like listening to North Korean propaganda! It seems that every time I commute home from London (once a month) I experience an issue with your service. It shouldn't be a surprise when things run smoothly!
Your car ferry service may run late, but what about foot passengers, and how are they supposed to get from Fishbourne with the poor public transport links (another Island quibble) or the housing provided in Ryde?
If you are loss-making, perhaps consider smaller vessels and question the need for continual improvements to the Ryde Pier Head terminal (there must have been 5 or 6 changes in the last decade) and perhaps franchising cafes on the ferries too to get money from them?
Also, if your costs were lower and more frequent, you may get more passenger which would boost the economy of the Island and the mainland ports.
And finally, bragging about online booking would have worked 5 years ago, now it should be standard, along with responsive websites and dedicated mobile apps across multiple platforms.
