Important fight brewing in EU over whether the "right to be forgotten" requires censorship of search results. Google likely to win the first round. #Intermediaries   #censorship  
An expert opinion requested by the Court of Justice said that a wish to eliminate embarrassing information is not sufficient reason to make Google remove public records from search results.

This is why the EU's legislation granting a "Right to be Forgotten" is so problematic. Archivists complain it will create holes in the "first draft of history." #privacy
