I'm excited about the fun Snuggle Mobile campaign that some visionary folks are involved with. Its coordinator has been involved with some important and meaningful work, and this will help her to take it to the next level. Not too late to get on board! http://igg.me/at/snugglemobile

I often speak with coaching clients about optimism-related concepts such as gratitude, as I believe they're very important. However, it is only a piece of the puzzle. Or, as quoted in this article, "Positive thinking coupled with an understanding of the obstacles that stand in our way is the key to achieving significant behavior change." Your thoughts? http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2014/10/optimism-is-the-enemy-of-action/380834/

Q: "Several sexuality experts have praised The Snuggle Party Guidebook, but it's a book about platonic touch, right?" A: Yes, it is about platonic touch, and our ability to get needs met in that area is often compromised by our programming around sexuality. So the book candidly addresses some sexuality topics.

A huge thanks to those who helped spread word about The Snuggle Party Guidebook giveaway on Goodreads. We had more than 300 entries, which is a great start for getting word out there. If you know of someone in need of more nourishing touch, have them check out snuggleparty.org for more info on the book and other resources.

Does this article seem to describe you or someone you know? I'll admit that I'm sometimes a "defensive pessimist." Partially because of this, I enjoy coaching them as well. And my first book, Naked Idealism, is a great book for them to read. :) http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2014/09/dont-think-positively/379993/

Snuggle parties were a life saver during one of the most emotionally challenging transitions of my life, and I wanted to pay it forward. The Snuggle Party Guidebook is now available in both hard copy and ebook formats on Amazon. It has already been endorsed by the co-author of the most widely adopted college sexuality textbook in the U.S.
In addition to making snuggles accessible to more people at a very low cost, the book aims to make people aware of other existing resources (e.g., training programs, professional cuddler services, films about snuggling) should they find that a better-fitting route. More info on the book, along with other resources, is at snuggleparty.org. Whether you're interested in starting a snuggle group in your town, want to become a more comfortable snuggler, or want to introduce some of your friends to snuggling, you'll find useful information! http://www.amazon.com/The-Snuggle-Party-Guidebook-Friendships/dp/0981776477/
