So I found out today that my wife's Great Great Grandpa Manausa was a printer in Detroit and was approached by Henry Ford to invest in his idea. Grandpa Manausa said that his idea would never happen and said no to the investment. - Let this be a lesson, that your decisions today could impact, not just your life, but possibly the life of generations to come. #ford #history #detroit

This past weekend we served lunch to over 50 volunteers and homeless people who were working together in the garden and transitional housing at Matthew's Hope. Thank you to everyone who joined us on such a beautiful day!

Thinking back to this weekend when it was just my wife, my beer and the sun.....for 15 minutes, then the quietness changed.

The home office experience has changed dramatically with Xbox One's Skype capability. It's so powerful that Microsoft may have a game changer (game pun intended) if they can come up with an app driven device that supports the Kinect without the Xbox. If Non gamers had an opportunity to avoid the $499 price tag and could get a Kinect with maybe a device similar to the Apple TV or Roku box, you would see Skype explode. This is the future of video communication. #skype #microsoft #xboxone

$600 is not a cheap price tag for most to simply check out a device.  Neither is $999 +$250/yearly with Chromebox.  I see this all pointing to an actual all in one communication TV launched by Apple, Google TV. or maybe future partnerships with TV makers.  Maybe this is the next big thing Apple will sink their cash pile towards

But in the meantime, a device that plugs in for a low price range can start grooming the audience.

My wife and I are organizing plans for the morning of March 15th to work in the community garden at a local homeless rehab organization (Matthew's Hope)  We plan to provide lunch for the homeless and volunteers that day (around 55 people) and would like to invite anyone in the Orlando, Windermere, Winter Garden, etc. area to join us.  We could use help in any capacity, so please let us know!  All of the community serving projects we organize are family friendly, so children are absolutely welcome!

I haven't received my food yet and I already love it. $1 and $2 margaritas and the atmosphere is pretty sweet. I'll be back with a review on the food later. Ok got my food and it was pretty good. I usually don't order onion rings but For some reason was in the mood. They were REALLY good. After living in Florida for a couple months, I have found my new favorite place.

I loved the sandwich I had and the staff was friendly. I love mom and pop shops and it's great to get away from the Orlando Chains that consume most of the streets filled with tourists. Atmosphere is calming and the seating is limited but nice.

Wowzers is this place tasty. I had the brisket sandwich, fried okra and mac and cheese. I was in heaven from the first bite. We came at a time where the line was small, but the people that brought us said it's usually pretty long. I nabbed a take out menu for calling ahead next time.

Moved to Windermere a couple months ago, but definitely familiar with the PF Chang chain. (This one is attached to the Millenia Mall in Orlando) I've always found them to be decent restaurants that attract a mix of middle to upscale crowds. Although many people rave about their portions, I find them to be somewhat small. The taste however makes up for it, and as far as this location goes, the service was great. I had a meeting with Mark Russell, Print News Manager for the Orlando Sentinel, and our waitress Megan was helpful and not at all overbearing. She didn't constantly interrupt our conversation and always made sure we had a new drink waiting before we finished our current ones. I also want to thank the hostess (forget her name) for recommending the Kung Pau Chicken, which is what I ordered. Mark and I split our portions so I had the chance to try the Beef with Broccoli too which is something I'll probably order next time I visit.

There's some great personalities behind the counter here. I got slammed for wearing my MI Wolverines t-shirt by two sisters working the register who happened to be MI State fans. Go figure...in Central Florida, haha. The place could definitely use more outlets for plugging in laptops and such, but overall great place to meet for business or personal chat. The food is Panera, and is the same I've had at any other Panera. I love my Bacon Turkey Bravo.
