Insightful points on reading here.

As a person can never step in the same river twice, I continue to find books I've read multiple times the same way. Our vantage point from the road of life changes daily. It offers perspective that we didn't have when first reading a book.

Amazing how Ann and Dan, two authors here, are in different geographical locations in my sphere of awareness. They come together to talk about ground zero in Dave's sphere of awareness - reading and what makes a great book.

When reading and coming upon something that sparks huge interest, Dan says, "I gotta tell somebody about what I just read."  In this case, with no one around, he takes a picture of the page and Tweets it.

Dan also says, "if you're a true writer you'd much rather read than write."

And he relays this favorite quote: "a great scientist thinks like a poet and works like a bookkeeper."

Had some peripheral knowledge of Peter over last five years but this article prompted me to buy his books. Looking forward to explore and learn from him and can't wait to see how his point of view relates to my own sense of place. Other cool thing is he is right here in Tampa Bay.

The Renaissance, through which Leonardo lived, was a time of phenomenal change, as today is. Learn how Leonardo navigated it in order to set your own course.

Seth Godin's new book is pure Seth. Well, it's Seth plus some really cool art, pictures and graphic design. I love it!
A new book about doing work that matters, embracing tension, dancing with fear and making a difference, by Seth Godin

From the book The Idea Factory - Albert Einstein told Shannon's wife Norma that she was married to a brilliant, brilliant man.

I am beyond fascinated with brilliance. How about you?

Hands down, my most favorite book of 2015. But my recommendation comes with a warning.

Try not to get mesmerized by Brian Grazer's connections with some of the planet's who's who. That however, is gonna be really hard due to the tales Charles Fishman spins around Brian's encounters.

The secret to this wonderful experience is to zero in on everything Brian has to say about his curiosity conversations. Learn about them and you'll have the key to creating human connections of untold importance, meaning and wisdom.
I recently sent one of our favorite authors, Charles Fishman, a few questions about his new book, A Curious Mind—a book he wrote with Brian Grazer.

Hook, line and sinker - totally enthralled with Michael S. Malone's book Bill & Dave How Hewlett & Packard Built the World's Greatest Company. Learned of this film there.

Two moments define why HP resonates with me. First at the 18:29 mark. An employee is awarded for extraordinary contempt and defiance in pushing a product from inception to production in spite of orders to not do so.

Number two is at 20:49. HP ran an ad ( in 1962 "you want to be an entrepreneur? Come here and learn how first."

Introduction
My Story will continue to change based upon current projects. Right now I have two:

Education
  • iAutodidact U
    Business / Human Relations, 1981 - present
I am afflicted with passionate curiosity. My only relief from this wonderful disease is to learn (or at least try). My primary mode of learning is to read. My books are not only my friends, but tactile confidants placed in my possession to physically engage with (I mark em up). The Internet opened up a new field of play and place of therapy. Furthermore I am addicted to magazines and journals. The time that I've invested in self study easily transcends four bachelor degrees.
