This is a special processing I do on some photographs, basically taking the original color image, converting it to black and white (greyscale) and editing them separately and recombining. It mutes the colors but keeps the dynamic range.
The goal of this photo is to emphasize the waterfall and have the eye not be distracted by surrounding elements. It creates a surreal effect to the image but also serves the intent. Post in Lightroom + using a special filter set using Color Efex Pro 4
