No surprises here - major media has made its choice, and journalistic impartiality has evaporated.

http://nypost.com/2016/08/21/american-journalism-is-collapsing-before-our-eyes/
Donald Trump may or may not fix his campaign, and Hillary Clinton may or may not become the first female president. But something else happening before our eyes is almost as important: the complete…

We all like to think we're fit for the jobs we perform. But now Americans are hinting that they'd like our presidential candidates to prove it!

"59% of voters also now believe all major presidential candidates should release at least their most recent medical records to the public. That’s up dramatically from 38% in May 2014 when questions about Clinton's health were first being raised. Thirty percent (30%) don’t think candidates should have to release their recent medical records, while 11% are undecided."

"Capital chases high-growth ideas, and high-growth ideas tend to be concentrated in areas of highly educated and highly skilled workforce,” said Manuel Adelino, an economist at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University who has published several research papers on entrepreneurship patterns and credit availability. “This suggests that the lack of new business formation in rural America may lead to widening gaps in income and employment” between those areas and big cities.
It's a trend that jeopardizes the economic future of vast swaths of the country.

"When Rio de Janeiro won its bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics back in 2009, the Brazilian government estimated that costs directly related to hosting the games would run just shy of $3 billion. But by the time Vanderlei de Lima lit the Olympic torch at last week’s opening ceremonies, the country had already spent some $4.6 billion on venues, administration, transportation and the like, putting the games roughly 50 percent over budget. By the time the games close on Aug. 21, the tally for the games will likely be higher still."

A cautionary tale on the #internet of things (via a WiFi connected Fabreze home air freshener system!) from David Berkowitz - fun story!

"The entire setup process felt absurd. First, I needed to find and download the Febreze Connect app on my iPhone – for my air freshener. Next, I had to connect to a custom WiFi network, requiring me to look up my home network’s password – for my air freshener. Then, I had to wait for a firmware update (really) – for my air freshener. Finally, to differentiate multiple devices should I ever buy a case of them, I had to come up with a name – for my air freshener (mine goes by the name Feberky)."

Yep, already do this and love it! Thanks, Fred!

"Photo search is amazing. You no longer need to create albums and tag and categorize your photos to be able to find them. You just search for them. Kind of like how email changed when Gmail arrived."

Olga is smart, detail-oriented and sharp as a tack when it comes to business law matters. I was able to see this in action over the last year, and I would definitely recommend her for legal work in business law matters.

Delicious first-time lunch experience today at Yasu Sushi. Fresh spicy salmon rolls, tuna 'don' of the day and more. Great way to cap the work week and head in to the New Year. The friendly, attentive service helped too. Will definitely be back again.
