In this age of information, knowledge is plentiful, but wisdom is scarce.
Wisdom means far more than simply knowing a lot.
It is basic attitude that affects every aspect of life.
The first step to wisdom is to " fear the Lord, " to honor and respect GOD, to live in awe of his power.
Faith in GOD should be the foundation for your understanding of the World, your attitudes, and your actions.
Trust in GOD and he will make you truly wise.
One of the most annoying types of people is a know it ~all, a person who has a dogmatic opinion about everything and who is closed to anything new.
Solomon calls this kind of person a fool.
Don't be a know ~it all.
Instead, be open to the advice of others, especially those who know you well and can give valuable insight and counsel.
Learn how to learn from others.
Remember, only GOD know it all.
While the main focus of today’s +Tesla press call was the software update meant to end range anxiety +http://goo.gl/2uDz9F , also dropped a few details on other things the company working on right now for release in the coming months… Tesla will soon offer upgrades including hands-free steering on its Model S sedan.
Tesla is set to offer the automatic steering feature in three months, about a year ahead of other automakers (see below).
It will be available only when driving on freeways or major roads, as part of a continuing series of free software upgrades delivered wirelessly to Model S owners, Musk said.
This next update — the “range anxiety” update, or Version 6.2 includes a few neat tricks of its own:
1.Automatic emergency braking, which will attempt to automatically halt the car when it detects that you’re about to slam into something else. It’ll be a part of all Tesla cars moving forward, and will be added to all existing Teslas made after October of last year.
2.lind-spot and side-collision warning.
3.“Valet mode” that reduces the car’s insane performance and locks down the center console’s touchscreen to hide private data.
4. Smart trip planning for plotting routes along its charger network, and alerts for when you're getting out of charger range. The trip planning feature is even intelligent enough to know if a charging station is full or out of service.
The big one, though, is Version 7.0 — that’s when Tesla will be rolling out the first bits of its autopiloting, self-driving system.
Elon Musk noted that Version 7 will have a “complete UI overhaul.”
“It’ll kind of need one,” Musk notes “because of the way the car will interact with you in the future.”
Here’s what Musk had to say about the self-steering functionality:
“We’re pretty excited about the progress we’re making there. The main test route that we’re evaluating is the San Francisco to Seattle route, and we’re now almost able to travel all the way from San Francisco to Seattle without the driver touching any controls at all.
That’s a feature that requires a lot of validation testing, but we’re hoping that we can start releasing the first sort of auto-steering features in about three months or so."
+General Motors has said it plans to offer a similar set of hands-free driving features next year on its new Cadillac CT6 sedan.
Other automakers and suppliers are working on similar automated systems.
Tesla is among several automakers, including +BMW and +Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz, offering software updates wirelessly through a car's built-in modem.
Tesla has been more aggressive than most others in pushing such "over-the-air" software updates, which Musk said would continue to be released every three or four months.
