If you ask me, this just demonstrates Apple's lack of confidence in their own Apple Watch product.  Google didn't block Pebble from Android when Android Wear started and from what it appears to me, both Pebble and Wear are doing fine.

I know this isn't directly about Wear but it's relevant. Apologies if others deem otherwise.

If Apple actually continue to follow through with this it'll be the single biggest reason for me to dislike the company for sometime.

If this isn't a monopolistic corporation move against a small company I don't know what is. Stripping away a whole companies business like it's nothing for its own gain.
Google put Apple in a tight spot by (probably) working on making Wear work for iOS. Apple wouldn't like it but they couldn't really justify allowing Pebble to support iOS but not Wear. They'd need to be consistent and either allow all or remove all other smart watch support. Seems like they're choosing the latter, and for that I just lost a ton more respect for them.

C'mon Apple. Show some balls. If you're as confident in your product as you say let the others join the party. Actions speak louder than words, if this isn't just a mistake they are clearly concerned about how their watch will be received.

I feel for Pebble. iOS users must be a big part of their business, for that to just be eradicated in an instant is massive for a new company of their size and although I've never been interested in one myself, they've made some good products and pushed the market forward.

Hey +TELUS, any word on when we might expect to see Android Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?  We're seeing it pop up on a number of our neighbour's phones south of the border and across the pond.

Not asking for a specific date, a ballpark would be nice; say month, quarter, etc.

Apple are just showing that they don't believe the Apple Watch can survive competition with Pebble by arbitrarily blocking Pebble from iOS.

Agreed. It's following with traditions really. Google have always been open to competition on any platform (even if they may skew things in their favour, understandably) whilst Apple have generally done what they can to single themselves out from the rest, especially with iOS.

It's sad too, because honestly I don't think Apple has anything to worry about from Pebble. I don't think they would have done it if it wasn't for Google's plans to support iOS.

As much as I disliked the prequels and lost a good deal of faith in the franchise, I have to admit; after seeing this teaser the ten year old in me who lost his tiny little mind at the original showing of A New Hope got really excited again.

Mister Spock made it okay for me to be the weird kid who eventually grew into a slightly-less weird adult, but it was Leonard Nimoy who made Mister Spock live, and who made Star Trek possible.

An overall terrific experience. The food was great, especially their signature dishes like the pulled pork cubano sandwich and fried pickles; and the service was super. They also have a selection of beer themed dishes using their own house brews. The best part is their selection of on-site brewed beers and ails. Their brewmeister is top-notch and they have a great selection from light lagers to porters.
