Thin Disk Laser Crystals

Mounting of thin laser crystals, thereby ensuring effective and homogenous cooling, is the key technology for disk lasers. For various laboratory applications as well as for the series production of our OEM customers, we offer pre-mounted disk laser crystals tailored to and tested under the customer’s specifications and/or operating conditions.
 
Our standard material is Yb:YAG with 5 % or 7 % of doping concentration. Surface can be planar or wegded.
Outer crystal edges are beveled to avoid ASE.
 
Other materials and dimensions upon request.
 
The photograph shows a TD-12-7-w HD disk, with an Yb-doped laser disk mounted on a copper tungstate heat sink, for use in combination with the D+G pump modules TDM 1.0 or TDM 0.05.

Thin Disk Laser Modules

With our thin disk laser modules (TDM) you can build your own disk laser. Disk laser modules in various power classes are available with pump powers of 50 W, 1 kW, 10 kW, and above for one single disk. Our recently developed module TDM 30 allows highest power pump radiation of more than 30 kW guided by fiber cables.
  
For research and development we offer LABoratory versions allowing easy adjustment of optical elements. 
 
For your series production we offer low cost OEM modules with preadjusted fixed optics.
 
The completely assembled module contains:
a coupling unit for the pump radiation with SMA or HP fiber connector,
a pump chamber with optics for multipass imaging of the pump radiation onto the disk,
a water cooled disk holder for a D+G disk 
an aperture for the setup of a laser resonator.
