Thanks to everyone who came and visited us at Cornwall Business Fair at The Eden Project on Wednesday. It was a pleasure to see so many existing and new clients and put a few faces to names too.
Special congratulations to Saira from @Philosophi, who guessed the closest to the answer to our prize competition question "How many miles did the ash Drive rental fleet travel in the last 12 months". The answer was 3,066,158 miles, Saira guessed 3 million miles on the nose. Better luck next time to all those who entered.
Saira wins the £60 voucher to spend on the delicious food served at The Rising Sun in Truro (currently #2 on Trip Advisor!). Well done, Saira!

Here's a screen shot from footage of our Luton van being used to transport the enormous Wallace & Gromit cake made by Peboryon for The Grand Appeal in aid of Bristol Children's Hospital.

Our van was used to move the cake to a local film/photography studio and then to Bristol where it was showcased in a special fundraising shop and then was featured in Cake international exhibition. In all, the cake raised thousands of pounds for the hospital.

The whole thing was filmed by Channel 4 as part of a new series of Extreme Cake Makers. The programme was aired yesterday at 5.30pm. You can watch the programme on 4OD until the end of May by clicking on the link below (log in/registration required). The Wallace & Gromit cake footage starts at 7:48 and you can see our van from 21:10 :…/extreme-cake-…/on-demand/64904-001

We had a great day up at the Cornwall Business Show on Thursday last week. Thanks to everyone who came and visited us there.
For those of you who entered our prize competition, the answer to the question "How many days in total were Dash Drive vehicles on hire for in 2016?" was 19,775 days (yes we were amazed too!).
The closest guess was from John Hooker at Concorde (he was very close indeed with 19,402). John wins the £60 voucher to spend at The Rising Sun Bar & Restaurant, Truro.

We are so proud to support Richard Lander School Greenpower team!

For anyone who hasn't heard of Greenpower racing, the challenge is for students to design and build electric cars to a very specific criteria and then enter them in races at venues around the country such as Goodward, Castle Combe, Rockingham Speedway (and Newquay!). Races last 90 minutes and the cars all use the same motor and battery.

The idea is to inspire young students to be involved in engineering and hopefully to consider it as a career choice. And, of course, have some fun along the way!

Yes, it's the back end of a bus!

One of our 17-seat minibuses, to be precise. Comfortable and roomy, it's ideal for any group activity from weekends away to corporate functions and sporting events. There's plenty of room for 17 people to sit comfortably plus their luggage.

Check it out our minibuses here:

Charity and Christmas go hand-in-hand, and this year is no exception. Last week we donated the use of one of our Dash Drive vans for a day to the Truro Vineyard Church's Cornwall Christmas Box appeal.
It's so heartwarming to see such kindness and generosity from people all over the Duchy at this time of year to help give less fortunate families a better Christmas than they otherwise might have.
