With con season over, Clarissa and Gerald thought they had it all figured out. Thought they could get a podcast review done with minimal editing and minimal viewing overhead if they just watched something that was already on Netflix. But then they chose the 2013 Space Pirate Harlock CG animated film directed by Shinji Aramaki. How prophetic was what Daryl said about it back in 125? ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.

Why does the Wordpress sharing to Google+ default to Private, with no options to customize? The option must be buried somewhere. Anyway, there have been new AWO episodes!

In this episode, Gerald reviews the 1978 theatrical film Lupin the Third: The Mystery of Mamo. Be forewarned that this episode is heavier on spoilers than usual, perhaps because the film in question is roughly 36 years old, has been released multiple…

Seriously? We missed the entire month of June yet still say this thing is updated weekly? What kind of miring sweaty mass of lameness is that? Do we need Soundgarden to headbang in a circle with a camera underneath to express how lame that is? No matter,…

After being on live television like 24 hours ago where he talked about being remembered even in death, the Ultimate Warrior has now died at age 54. The cause has not been announced, but as an avid reader of things he wrote, I do not believe he would have committed suicide or overdosed on drugs. If I had to speculate a cause, it would be from an enlarged heart due to steroid usage in the 1980s.

Had he been 'working' at all recently?  It would seem to make sense that all the stress of steroid use would catch up if he hadn't been 'in shape' like if he was performing regularly.  I hadn't really been following him at all, since he was kind of 'out there' in a lot of ways.  Still, he was a tremendous performer.

Now that the major games have come out this year it's safe to finally say Sniper Elite 3 is GOTY 2014. My 6 MB proof:

Anime World Order Show # 131 - Robert W. Gibson: All About the Man, Part 2 is live! Part 1 is posted at http://www.ourstarblazers.com.

Robert W. Gibson was a critical figure in the founding of organized anime fandom in the US who's also a listener to the show.
This is not our standard style episode, in that we've recorded it using mobile recording equipment across a variety of locations throughout Anime Weekend Atlanta 2014. In this episode, we talk to v...

I'm just saying.
When Google launched its social network, Google+, it hoped that it would prove a popular competitor to the likes of established names such as Facebook and Twitter.  Unfortunately for Google, though, things didn't quite work out like that.  While Google's search engine and Gmail continue to be hugely useful, comparatively few people use Google+.

The aftermath of the Saturday Ring of Honor / New Japan Pro Wrestling show in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Due to a combination of my using the wrong weight of paper streamer and (primarily) my weak weak WEAK throwing arm, 0 of the 810 or so feet worth of streamers I threw from the upper balcony made it to the ring to be swept under. No, those ended up mostly in the lower balcony. Things to keep in mind for next time: Party City streamers don't travel far through the air.

The difference between why DC superhero movies are the way they are and why Marvel superhero movies are the way they are is that Marvel has a Kevin Feige and DC does not. BAM POW headline aside that was no doubt editorially mandated to be in line with their elderly readership, this is a good BusinessWeek article on the guy:

They would need someone to actually care about DC as a universe to get this thing going the way Marvel has.

Introduction
The monitor screen is my world. Though my mind may be falling apart, my memories and knowledge may be fading away, perhaps if I become one with the monitor long enough, the numbers will all add up. Perhaps then I could turn this around...that is, if the very thing that's kept me alive until now doesn't kill me first.

I seek the resolution of conflict through the application of violence.
