This message is not for everyone however, it most certainly should be. You see, I have people that come and go from my gym all the time and my membership levels are in constant flux. This used to bother me because my livelihood depended on my membership levels. Recently though, I have realized that the Ones that go were never there anyways. They were never one of us. Ideal doesn't change a person into something. Ideal is a filter that reveals who you already are and it does it efficiently. Realizing this has lifted a great load from my mind which has freed me to become more creative, energetic, and focused. In fact, when someones leaves or quits it actually makes the rest of US more pure, more powerful, and more united. The community benefits from this removal of chaff.
Its true what he says in the video below. Generally, the people who have the most trouble with emotions and have jacked up, out of control, crazy lives are also the ones that usually don't work out(some kind of fitness). They are lazy, they are victims, and they are sick. Its a hard truth for some to deal with, but it is the truth. I can say that because I used to be THAT guy, but I found a schema that revealed who I really was and it also gave me purpose. That schema was CrossFit. Maybe Glassman's greatest contribution is that he will be responsible for bringing so many people from the SICK to HEALTHY.
Now, I am looking for more of us, more Idealist. Sure this concept is nothing new to other tribes or organizations, but for me it is because I have come full circle. Streamlining the tribe is a good thing and I will never compromise Ideal’s agenda for profit and if that means we stay lean and free of bloat then that it ok with me.
I believe that what I am trying achieve, this IDEAL, is impossible to attain and that's the point. Us Idealist understand that there is no reward, there is only the Work, the Failure, and Blessing of doing it TOGETHER. #clickclick #brokenarrow #crossfit #weightlifting
