What have you done this week to make a difference in the world? How about taking 5 minutes to make a $5 donation to St. Baldrick's to help fight childhood cancer?

Here's a link to my page. I've only got about 2 weeks left and a LONG way to go to reach my goal. How about a hand?

Two days left! I'm raising money for +St. Baldrick's Foundation. Behind the U.S. government,t hey are the largest funder of childhood cancer research in the United States. If you can spare a mere $5 or $10, will you consider a contribution? The link to my page is below. On Friday, I'm going to get my head shaved in solidarity with the amazing little warriors who fight cancer every day!

Scientists might have found a way to starve off cancer cells in some pediatric brain tumors!

St. Baldrick’s Scholar & researcher on the study, Dr. Raabe, has a message for supporters: "Without St. Baldrick’s & other funders, we would not be able to be doing the research we’ve been doing.”

Probabaly the most juicy butt I've smoked. It's also probably the most bland. I thinks it's due to the extended marinating. I may try it without next time.

Try poking deep pockets and stuffing garlic slivers in them.  Maybe even injecting it with the marinade.  It looks amazing.

First time making pulled pork sandwiches. We usually slice it. It's really good!

Turned out great. But I have to agree with my wife, it's better with just the meat. The bland bread ends up watering down the flavor a bit.

Interesting Fact:

If every Google+ follower I have contributed just $5 to St. Baldrick's, we would donate nearly $1,300 to fight childhood cancer. That is a very simple and inexpensive way for you to make a difference in the world.

You game?

+Stacy Lawler, didn't you win some rub or something from Greg Rempe's show a few weeks ago? What was it and, better yet, how was it?  :-)

Hello. Just joined the community. Lifelong lover of barbecue, but only tried my hand at making it a couple of years ago when someone gave me a Brinkmann Gourmet Charcoal Smoker. Now, I'm hooked! The more I smoke, the more I want to smoke.

Now I'm starting to outgrow the Brinkmann. I can only do a pork butt, a chicken or a couple of racks of ribs (if I cut them up) at a time. I find myself wanting to do more.

I look forward to learning and getting to know the members of the community.

I got it on clearance a couple years ago at Walmart. It's the medium box style smoker, big enough for a good size chicken or roast, but I wanna smoke a turkey, and it would sit too close to the heat to cook right. Can't remember what I paid for it, though. I really want to build an enclosed pit.
