Tips for mastering the Baby Freeze:
There are 3 points of contact: head, stabbing hand, and opposite hand
Tilt your head when it is on the ground vs. place your cheek flat on the ground
Make sure your weight is evenly distributed between both hands and your head
Place your opposite hand closer to your legs to make it easier to place your leg on top of it
Create a 90 degree angle with both your legs
Practice lifting off your head and back to gain strength and control

The Stab/Pilot freeze is a basic ground freeze that you will need to learn in order to perform other ground freezes such as the baby freeze


Tips for mastering the Stab/Pilot Freeze:

- Turn your stabbing hand to the side or backward to allow your elbow to come into your stomach

- Choose a spot that is most comfortable for you between your belly button and hip bone to place your elbow

- Lower your chest in order to allow your legs to come up vs. kicking your legs up off the floor

- Your chest will determine your weight distribution between your upper and lower half of your body

- Lean slightly to the side of your stabbing arm in your to center your body over your stabbing hand

- If you are falling, counterbalance by leaning your weight into the opposite direction you are falling

- Most of the weight should be on your stabbing hand, your other hand is there to help you balance

- Practice different leg positions in order to feel different weight and balance points
