Jul 30/15Please read
as this post contains the daily reading
, and a breakdown of the daily reading format.
Hello to all our new members
My name is Darren and I post the daily reading as you may have noticed. I help moderate this community and will try my best to help anyone and everyone understand what we are reading.
What we do here is read the whole Bible, not just a verse here or a verse there, but the Whole of God's word. Please read the About this community
if you haven't yet, it will help you understand what is acceptable to post and how you should post it. On the Computer
it is to the right, on the Mobile Google+ app
it is the down arrow from the In Depth Bible Studies
header. A link to the full chapter is mandatory so we can read everything in context (how God wanted it read). Also No doctrine of any kind as we have many different denominations here and this stops the arguments. If you are here to try to teach what your church is teaching you, you may be in the wrong community. What we want and are after is what God is showing you through the Holy Spirit as we/you read through the Bible.
So let's get started. At the top of every daily reading post is the date of that reading. It is there in case you miss a daily reading and gives you a reference point to pick up where you left off.Today's reading is Proverbs 1-7
The above statement is fairly self explanatory. This is what is being read for this day with the Book
from the Bible and then the Chapters
being read. On the smaller books there will be multiple books and chapters listed to keep with the same amount being read in each reading. We do read the Bible in order of the books listed, we don't jump around to different books while reading. This gives us a perfect look at the history that is in the Bible and allows us to keep track of where we are and what is going on in the Bible easily.Reading Linkhttps://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+1-7&version=NKJV
For those that are new, the above link takes you to the daily reading where you can read with us if you don't have a Bible. It has several different translations that you can choose from if you don't like the one provided, which is the New King James Version.Audio Links

Chapter 7: http://www.bible.is/ENGESV/Prov/7
The above links will take you to the audio version of what we are reading, you can also follow along with what is being read. It does go to the next chapter automatically so you only have to click on the first link to get the full daily reading rather than each individual link, you just have to stop it as it will keep going. As with the reading link it has different versions so if you are not wanting the English Standard Version you can choose your own. Although it doesn't have as many to choose from, but it has plenty of languages to choose from if English is not your primary language.
If you want to make sure that you don't miss any posts for the daily reading make sure that notifications are turned on. On the computer it will be the bell just under the title of the community. On hand held devices you may have to open a menu, which may be different on every device.
There are a couple of categories that may be of interest to everyone. Please feel free to introduce yourself as we do have an Introductions category and we also have a prayer request section for those that would like to post their prayer requests and a praise reports section for those that would like to share praise reports.
So come and join us as we read God's Word, and feel free to comment and share what God is saying to you as we read through the Whole Bible, remember, no doctrine (what your church is teaching you)
As always, Happy reading and God Bless.
