Here's another good resource the addresses this issue: https://blog.taxact.com/how-tax-brackets-work/. See the section entitled: "Busting a tax bracket myth" which confirms what I've written in this post.

I'm not sure I can give an opinion as an expert or anything, but you see that number 0.621945? That there is what I call a magic number. It's basically an average number in typical air on earth, the significance of which I am frankly a little hazy on. As near as I can figure the mathematical relationship is fixed one partly because it has been assumed by supposing averageness of the air's composition. It doesn't tell anything more in the sense of defining the nature of the space, but it does give you another description of the space. Mind you, I would say that's all equations do at any time any way.
Not all accurate descriptions are of equal value for every question.

Can you describe what you do for a living to a teenager in a foreign country through a translator whose translation you will never get an opportunity to review for accuracy, without really knowing how much they know (or don't) about the technology you use to do your job?

Here's my recent attempt:
I work inside, so the weather doesn't affect my work directly. I am a computer programmer which can be a lot of math and logic and thinking about how to help my co-workers to get their work done more easily and accurately. The business I work for designs and manufactures steel buildings which we sell to construction companies who put them together for their customers.

I'm not sure it's up to scratch, but that's what I've got.

There's a kind of Zamboni machine inside me. As in, the combined activity of osteoclasts (in-feed) and osteoblasts (out-feed). They're working on the 4th metacarpal of my right hand. Just closing off the 3rd week since the fracture (softball, fly ball, bad but successful catch, 'nough said).

Well, turned out I was able to make it the gym the past couple of days, but decided I should make good on a beginning of something good. Conditioning day went free-style again today! This time an AMRAP (as many reps as possible).

AMRAP (12min):

10 burpees
10 air squats
10 sit ups
10 single-under skips

I did 5 rounds + 20 reps for 220 total reps before the 12 minute time limit. (The air squats rolled in thick and fast in the last few seconds.)

If you need more of a challenge, up the ante to double-unders and/or up the reps on either or both of air squats or skips. (That, and you can always go faster...) These two exercises have a high (potential) turn-over rate and will ramp up the intensity level. BUT, never underestimate a burpee!

Try to find yourself lots of space for the single-unders so you can skip freely.

Now...all you need is a rope and a bit of space to throw down!

I won't be able to get to my regular gym for about a week, but it's about time for an active rest week anyway! How active? (or how restful?) Well, today I have my own WOD (inspired by a workout we call "Deck of Death").

For time:

10, 9, 8,..., 1 burpees
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 strict chin ups
10, 9, 8,..., 1 push ups
10, 10,...., 10 air squats (must break parallel)
(1,..., 1 stack the bowls*--to count my rounds)

(For the uninitiated, the above is sequenced like: 10 burpees, 5 strict chin ups, 10 push ups, 10 air squats, 1 stack the bowl (end of round 1), 9 burpees, 4 strict chin ups, 9 push ups,..., and so on.)

* Moving one bowl from the start stack to the finish stack is one rep. Automatic 30 second penalty for skipping the bowl stacking (ha!).

That's 10 rounds altogether for totals of:

55 burpees
20 strict chin ups
55 push ups
100 air squats

My time was 19:24 and since the white board isn't nearby to write it down, I'll just post it to the world instead!
