021/365 - Antique Piano
The Fayette S. Cable Piano Company was established in 1903 and built pianos under that name until the until the 1980's. This one was given to our family as a gift. Not sure exactly how old it is, but it still sounds great.

020/365 - Down with the Flu
Scattered Advil in front of NyQuil bottle. Feeling terrible today. This is creative as I can get before I go back to bed.

015/365 - Saint Joseph Catholic Church

The church is located in the middle of Downtown Macon and takes up one block. The towers are the tallest twin towers in Macon, and the 3rd tallest building in Macon, Georgia, at 200 feet to the tip.

013/356 - Bibb County Courthouse
This is Bibb County's fourth courthouse. The first was a one-room building built in 1825, the second was a brick building constructed in 1828. The third was a large, three-story structure with a clock tower, completed in 1870. The current courthouse was completed in 1924. A jail was added to the top floor in 1926; the entire structure was remodeled in 1940 as a WPA project. The lobby floors are made of marble.

014/365 - Hay House at Night

Johnston-Felton-Hay House, often abbreviated Hay House, is a historic residence in Macon, Georgia. Built between 1855 and 1859 by William Butler Johnston and his wife Anne Tracy Johnston in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, the house has been called the "Palace of the South." The mansion sits atop Coleman Hill on Georgia Avenue in downtown Macon, near the Walter F. George School of Law, part of Mercer University.

The 18,000-square-foot, 24-room home designed by the New York architect T. Thomas and Son has four levels and is crowned by a three-story cupola. Commissioned by imaginative owners and constructed by the most skillful workers of the time, its technological amenities were unsurpassed in the mid-nineteenth century: hot and cold running water, central heat, a speaker-tube system connecting 15 rooms, a French lift equivalent to today's elevator, in-house kitchen, and an elaborate ventilation system.

Another shot from the river walk earlier this month. We've had a lot of gloomy weather recently. Makes me wish for Spring.

I've worked in the IT industry for the past 15 years while freelancing part time as a photographer and graphic artist. I love all things related to design.
I enjoy sharing photos and discussing gear and techniques with other photography enthusiasts.

Recently I've been spending a lot of time in the Macro Photography community here on Google Plus. It's an active group with inspiring photos. I just purchased a set of Kenko Extention Tubes and Macro Rails for my camera that I'm learning how to use. The community here has really helped me become a better photographer.

My Camera Gear: Canon EOS 20D, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro, Canon EF 50mm F1.4, Canon Speedlite 580EX II, Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX,  SLIK Pro 700DX Tripod, Kenko Macro Extension Tubes, Velbon Super Mag Macro Rails, Raynox DCR-250
