Apparently this is the best course to take if you are interested in learning how to functionally program in Javascript.  I've heard it mentioned in multiple podcasts.  #javascript #js #ramda

"BBC business correspondent Joe Lynam said it was not clear what the encryption requirements were for companies holding customer data."

Let's try applying common sense instead of relying on being told what to do

NOOOOO!

I'm quite fond of Blind Spot but they've done a hacking episode and it's just painful (except the dig at Perl).

I've not been overly active on here lately, something I should remedy in the new year given the wonderful people who roam these halls. But anyway have a happy new year all and may the new year bring you the joy and happiness you deserve.

I feel for anyone who has been affected by the TalkTalk security breach.

I'm also glad to see The Mirror taking a balanced and sensible approach to reporting on the situation.

"Jeremy Corbyn eats small children and wants old people to just die!"

Is the headline I'm expecting to see from The Telegraph tomorrow

It just beggars belief what they're all getting their titties in a twist over - we're not obliged to like, support, or observe the traditions of the royal family. It's really exposing a blind "faith" and expectation similar to that of catholicism in Ireland.

It just goes to show that 99% of people in power are lapdogs - yes maam, no maam, do you want me to kneel for you, maam. Pitiful.

I always knew that the fridge would be our downfall
Hackers have successfully extracted login details for Google's Gmail email service from a Samsung smart fridge. The details were unveiled at the recent DEFCON hacking conference, fuelling concerns about the privacy of Internet of Things devices.

Introduction
I'm a programmer, Linux enthusiast and motorbike lover from Derbyshire in the UK. Recently I've started getting into photography but I'm still an absolute novice but it's relaxing and enjoyable plus it gives me an excuse to play with cool gadgets. I currently programme in Python, C++ and C# and now looking at Go and anything else that catch my interest

Great for a walk with the kids, feeding the ducks and playing in the play areas. The cafe also does stone great food and cakes which aren't badly priced

Amazing place, went for a drink and meal with a friend. The staff were really friendly and the food was great (steak and ale pie, I'm still thinking about it), the prices are very reasonable as well.

Fantastic day out with the kids. A bit of a walk if you're heading from New Street station but might not be as bad when not walking in the snow :-)
