My Nikkor 10-30mm lens for my Nikon 1 has died (comes up reporting a lens error when the camera is tuned on).  I think it might be the flex cable, has anyone had any experience fitting on of these?  The lens is past warranty and I don't fancy spending approx £200 for a new one!

Just fitted in the new dishwasher, does anyone else stand there staring at the floor waiting to see if it's leaking or is that just me?

Don't it so many times I don't think about it now. For a change I found my PTFE tape so didn't have to buy yet another role ☺

Bought her a pair of headphones and she spent most of the afternoon listening to my mp3 player. Never known her be so quiet for so long!

Never actually done any Node.js, so not really lol. I'm primarily a Java developer. Node.js is on my to do list though.

Hey all, has anyone had any experience in implementing a client application (web based) which allows the user to enter user defined parameters?  That is something like:

param2 = IIF(param1 > 50, 'Big', 'Small')

And then present that data back to the user?

I'm currently considering allowing the user to specify custom code in something like Python or R but wondered if anyone knew of an existing engine.

Thanks

I'm a programmer, Linux enthusiast and motorbike lover from Derbyshire in the UK. Recently I've started getting into photography but I'm still an absolute novice but it's relaxing and enjoyable plus it gives me an excuse to play with cool gadgets. I currently programme in Python, C++ and C# and now looking at Go and anything else that catch my interest

Amazing place, went for a drink and meal with a friend. The staff were really friendly and the food was great (steak and ale pie, I'm still thinking about it), the prices are very reasonable as well.

Been a couple of times now, save it as a special place to take my wife when we don't have the children for a while. Always the most beautiful coffee and the cakes are heavenly. The gift shop is always full of interesting and desirable items.

Fantastic day out with the kids. A bit of a walk if you're heading from New Street station but might not be as bad when not walking in the snow :-)

Great ice creams and fresh produce, I get a veg box fortnightly from them and love it. The play area and animals are great for the kids and the sandwiches, cakes and other edibles are just lovely and a good price.
