I am very excited to announce my collaboration with Pantheon Steel - makers of the Halo handpan.  I will be working to tune and maintain Halos here in Europe, filling a need Pantheon has had for some time.  In addition to working directly with Pantheon to tune Halos I will be accepting other handpans for tuning as my schedule permits.

Kyle has posted some videos on the Pantheon site showing some tuning of Hangs that I did there in June.  He has also sent out the following message:

"Hello Halo enthusiasts and owners,

I am proud to announce that Darren Dyke will be joining me as a tuner at Pantheon Steel.

Effective immediately, Darren will provide Halo tuning services in Europe from his home base in Brussels.

The addition of Darren to the family is a major milestone for Pantheon Steel. Since our inception, I have been the one and only tuner breathing life into the Halo.

Evolving the instrument towards my vision was without question the right way to start. But the vision Jim and I share has always indicated growth, when the time was right.

Today, the time is right.

When we introduced our professional tools for sale, I wrote that the world needs more tuners. That has become even more true as hundreds of Halos have found their way into the world. The Halo has proved to be very robust, but accidents happen, hands are sometimes heavy, and even well cared for instruments sometimes benefit from a little love.

As a result, demand for tuning services has slowly but surely increased.

We will be here to meet it. We hope to ensure that there is always proper care available for our own creations!

Adding tuners to share the workload is the right way forward. But as I also wrote, tuning is not for everyone. Indeed, finding the the right collaborator has been daunting.

But as with so many aspects of the Halo's growth, fate sometimes seems to work small miracles in our favor. Darren's coming to Pantheon Steel has happened quite naturally and we are very pleased about that.

Darren's initial role for Pantheon Steel will be to maintain and repair Halos. He will also be available to tune other handpans, at his personal discretion.

In the future, we have more ambitious plans... but more about that later. :)"

During Hangout UK this year I had the pleasure of tuning this fine instrument for a very talented young man named Josiah. Pay no mind to the didgeridoo in the background - sort of sounds like I am moaning...

I find the image in this sign to be a bit ominous but I like the sentiment...

Great service and attention. I really love the fact that these guys focus on one thing only. Their passion shows. If you are looking for a Brompton this shop is definitely worth going to. Thank you Cap Problema for the new bike!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who live in the area. It is a wonderful, modern, communal place with warm and welcoming staff. The atmosphere is somewhat playful which made it quite easy to settle in and relax. They were very fast but the food I had was well prepared and I felt the care that went into it as I ate. The ingredients were very fresh which seems to be an important theme here. The menu is small but interesting and they have a good assortment of beverages with and without alcohol. If you are in Gracia and looking for something fresh, quick and non spanish I highly recommend a stop here.
