Dan Carlin's Hardcore History: 55 - Blueprint for Armageddon VI

If you haven't been following Dan Carolin's Great War (Epic) podcast, you really should get in to it. This is the last episode, so you should go to episode 1.
The Americans are coming, but will the war be over by the time they get there? Germany throws everything into a last series of stupendous attacks in the West while hoping to avoid getting burned by a fire in the East they helped fan.

I agree that it probably won't convince anyone that is wedded to quack medicine but anyone sitting on the fence might read this and think twice about buying a homeopathic remedy next time they have a cold. Here's hoping...

This is the best short description of the history of Ireland and Northern Ireland I've seen.  Doesn't explain why we have different Tayto crisps though....

This new version of outlook for iOS is surprisingly good!  I've been using the Mailbox app for a while, and Outlook has most of the must-have features that I've loved in that app.  It also integrates with more Email providers and does calendar stuff quite nicely (I currently use Sunrise for calendar).  I'll try it for a week, but this might replace Mailbox and Sunrise for me. We'll see...
Get back on top of your inbox. Email overload is the new norm. That's why Outlook helps you focus on what is most important and clear out the rest. The new Outlook app separates your mail into two tabs—Focused and Other. Important emails appear in your Focused inbox, while the rest remain easily ...

This is one of my favourite bars in Wellington. The vibe is laid back and friendly, there's no annoying distractions such as TV's, pool tables, gaming machines and so forth, so you can sit with your friends have have an actual conversation. Novel! The selection of beers is also awesome - they serve their own Sprig and Fern beers on tap (I've never bothered to check what they have in bottles) all of which are very good, and some are outstanding - looking at you Fern Draught! Go in a few times and the staff will remember your name and probably your usual order (unless you're like me and get something different every time!).

Great spot for a beer, and they really do have the best selection of beers in the city. I'm not exactly a regular, but it's often on my list of places to go when I'm in the city for an evening :)

We spent just two nights here shortly after Christmas 2009. We arrived late & exhausted after driving all the way from Wellington, but the English lady who met us (owner/manager I think) was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The views over the lake were also very pleasant. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel to a friend in a heartbeat.

Knowledgeable staff, excellent selection of instruments (perhaps too many pianos!) and fair pricing. Very impressed.

Any time we're in Auckland around lunchtime looking for eats, we head to Knuckle Sandwich. Best sandwiches in the city! Excellent value for money, friendly owner too :)
