I continue to be amazed and how much Android 4.2.2 has completely tanked my Galaxy Nexus with Verizon. The phone is so unresponsive and slow now. And with no Nexus 4 for Verizon, I feel stuck. The Motorolas aren't attractive and neither the Galaxy S4 or the HTC One have arrived there.

My EVO 4G LTE is great and now we are getting 4G in NYC.. sp
Did you try a full on factory reset after the ota update? 4.2.2 runs like a dream on my gsm Galaxy Nexus (Only real diff is the cell radio).
I got tired of waiting for the official 4.2.2 update for my Galaxy Nexus from Verizon and jumped to CyanogenMod 10's implementation.  No regrets at all.  I'm presently running the nightly build from 22-Apr.

(caveat:  I'd unlocked my phone the instant I got it -- which was the day it came out.  It's my understanding that unlocking is no longer covered under fair use, but that phones previously unlocked are "grandfathered")
Buy N920. After just one hour of playing with it I could not understand, how I could use Android for 3 years.
I recently bought the Nexus 7. Seems to work fine with 4.2.2..
Have a Galaxy Nexus too. Works fine. Have it from Amazon rather than Verizon. better root your device and install an vanilla ROM image from Google.
I had the same issue because of Chrome beta. Switching to Chrome (stable) fixed the speed problem.
Really enjoying my HTC One. Is it long before the US release? Might be worth holding out for.
Hello Danny, your old mate from London days, Graham here. I had the same problem with my Nexus 7 after the 4.2.2 update and after a bit of forum digging seems like two fixes 1) turn off the Currents auto sync 2) Full sync & backup and then full factory restore and that seemed to fix it. A pain in the arse I know but it did work on my 7. You in London this month BTW? Cheers Graham
+Petr Rozsypal 920 is even too much, the very cheap 620 is quite fluid. Androids performance remains its achilles heel
Back up any data, and then wipe your phone. A fresh install of 4.2 on my VZW GNex has been working like a champ.
4.2.2 has done the same to 3 of my 4 verizon galaxies (they just keep breaking on me...)  and 2 of those 4 were brand 'new' refurbs right out of the box.  I used to love my phone and now can't stand it.
