Here's the music I've been working on since last summer.  My album is out today!  It's the first day of spring! I give you "It all comes down to this"

If you'd be so kind as to share this with your friends too, I would be forever in your debt. That word-of-mouth distribution is the single most important method for indie musicians.  So if you enjoy this, please send it along. That small gesture goes a long way. People tend to trust recommendations from people within their own circle that they trust. That's why it can be so difficult to distribute music as an independent. Establishing that trust is challenging in a day and age where people guard their time very aggressively.
It all comes down to this by dep It all comes down to this (Download) — This is my 20th album.  It’s about the things that people usually make songs about. It’s about love, life, growing up, getting on, making mistakes and living with them.  It’s about losing everything in order to find anything.  They are […]

My 20th release, "It all comes down to this" will be released on March 20th at http://dep.fm/ Coincidentally (or perhaps not) it's also the first day of Spring

Sign up at http://dep.fm/ to be notified by email when the album is released. The album should be available on iTunes, Spotify, Rdio, Bandcamp (and others) on that date as well.

On a personal note, this is my most ambitious album to date, and I've never been more excited about anything I've ever done (so there's that). Thank you as always to my small gang of devoted listeners. You know who you are.

Here's a teaser of my new album, coming March 20th to http://dep.fm/ -- Thank you Asheville Multimedia for this amazing trailer. You can learn more about Murdock Rudy, the talented Indonesian artist behind the album cover in the notes once the album's out!

AJAXifying Feedly so that it automatically shows new articles as they arrive would be cool, though I imagine a tricky implementation.  Perhaps how Twitter/Facebook do it.  A button saying [X New Articles Have Arrived] and when you click, it blinds down showing the new articles.  (ie, removing the need to press CMD-R to refresh the page)

Here's a trailer for a moving and inspiring documentary that I wrote the music for. It's about a painter that's paralyzed from the neck down. The soundtrack is over at http://dep.fm/

Is there any way to see a history of all the songs you've identified via Google Now?  It would be really cool if they showed up in Google Music. Surprising that they do not.

Knowledgeable, friendly owner. Affordable repair as well. I really like the process: If it'll cost under $120, he'll go ahead and fix the clock. If it costs over $120, he'll call you to confirm you want it repaired. My old wall clock (that I inherited) was not working when I got it, but he got it running, chiming like new and it's keeping perfect time to boot. I would highly recommend this business for your clock repair needs. He also has a wide range of wall clocks and grandfather clocks in the store as well. I was surprised at how affordable everything was.

Super nice people, relaxed atmosphere. A great place to relax or do some work. Definitely check out the market while you're there, too.

Theeeeeeeeee Appalachian Vintner. Where to begin? Perhaps with the completely awesome, knowledgable staff, who not only are eager to sit down and talk at length about beer and wine, but are also just great people in general, and make visiting the Vintner a great experience. Perhaps with the wine selection! They have a great selection of Wines from all over the world, and if you don't know what you're looking for, you can give Geoff or Charles a rough idea of what you like and they'll have ideas. Perhaps with the BEER selection. Tons of microbrews, a couple great locals on tap, and a cooler with a wide selection of local growlers (they give discounts when you bring back old growlers, too. #powertip). Or maybe we should start with the atmosphere in there. It's cozy and welcoming. You can hang out at the bar or sit at a table and relax with a beer or some wine. They have free wine tastings on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings. Yep, you read that right. They're free! Just for being you. So go on in and sample some f**king wines. I guess I don't know WHERE to begin.. but I DO know where YOU should begin. You should begin by hopping in your car and driving dangerously and erratically to the Appalachian Vintner. I can't believe you haven't been there yet.

S'ok. Needs vegan options, but unfortunately "gourmet chefs" scoff at vegans...

Amazing pizza, and the only pizza place in Asheville to offer Daiya cheese for vegans. Love it!
