So what sort of areas does the book cover?

Here’s an example for you, concerning circulation. Keeping things moving is a key part of what your body needs and the circulatory system of the body comprises the heart, arteries, and veins through which blood is carried to and from the body organs and tissues. The most serious problems of the circulatory system are those involving the heart – atheroma, angina pectoris, and coronary aromatherapy. What aromatherapeutic oils can do, though, is boost the circulation of the blood, helping a sluggish circulation, and thereby preventing the less circulatory problems such as haemorrhoids, cellulite and varicose veins on the legs. Stimulating the circulation of the blood is also extremely good for the skin, and strengthening the blood vessels can prevent things like broken facial veins or capillaries.

AROMATHERAPEUTIC TREATMENTS

Massage stimulates the tissue, delivering fresh blood to the cells. Massage also facilitates the entry of essential oils, and using oils like cypress, neroli, lemon and rose will boost the circulation. Use a few drops in 10 ml (2 tsp) base oil.
Avoid coffee, tea and alcohol, and drink tisanes made from herbs like chervil, parsley and sage.

Diet is extremely important. Eat healthily of foods rich in vitamins C and E, and bioflavonoids which are very good for the circulatory system. Onions, garlic, citrus fruits, chestnuts, rye and wheatgerm are all good foods.

Exercise regularly, walking and cycling briskly if you do not play a sport.
