Here's an inside look at what is probably one of the most groundbreaking aspects of Wear 2.0: the AI-based system for generating message responses entirely on the watch.

Today we are releasing Developer Preview 2 for Android Things, bringing new features and bug fixes to the platform. We are committed to providing regular updates to developers, and aim to have new preview releases approximately every 6-8 weeks. DP2 includes many bug fixes and new features, such as USB Audio and a native Peripheral API. DP2 also adds support for the Intel Joule platform. In addition, we have created a highly requested sample that shows how to use TensorFlow for object recognition and image classification on Android Things.

For centuries traditional watches increased their usefulness with the use of so called "complications".
Now these arrive to Android Wear and allow any app to display some of their core data directly to the user's favourite watch face.
In my last article I wrote for Smashing Magazine, I give a small introduction to how complications are going to be integrated in Android Wear 2.0.

I created a small gist with the mandatory #AndroidThings I/O first experiment.
Just input from the touch sensors and output to corresponding LEDs, but fun to start!

I’ve always been passionate about new technologies, and in the last years I had the great opportunity to work at some amazing projects.
First at i'm Watch, creating one of the first smartwatches on the market, and now at +Novoda, where I have the chance to work with some of the most amazing people I know and where the community involvement is largely valued.

This is why I'm incredibly excited and humbled to announce that I'm the first Google Developer Expert for Wearables in Europe!
