is an artist, activist and media professional. She most recently worked for Al Jazeera America as Interim Swing Producer, Digital Content and Community, a unique staff role providing support across multiple departments. Her last day was September 1, 2013, so that Daniela can focus on DCAP Media.
In 2013, Daniela (with POCZP) participated at LA Zine Fest, Chicago Zine Fest, Atlanta Zine Fest, DC Zine Fest and helped coordinate youth workshops across the country. Daniela also presented at the 2013 Allied Media Conference in Detroit.
In 2012, Daniela participated as a panelist at mediabistro's first annual Social Curation Summit
. She also moderated Paper Tiger Television's panel on radical media
during their 30th anniversary conference at The New School.
In 2010, Daniela was interim Senior Producer at Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más, supporting the channel's rebrand and site migration. She also produced artist profiles at SXSW in Austin, TX, for Uncensored Interview.
From 2006 - 2009, Daniela produced content for all screens as a member of the MTV News team. Her title was Associate Producer, MTV News.
In this capacity, Daniela traveled with her colleagues across the country to support production for the MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Lollapalooza and the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in D.C.
While at 1515, she honed her skills as a shooter, blogger, podcaster, rich media editor and social media strategist. Daniela left MTV News in August of 2009 to pursue her own creative goals.
She was invited to speak at the '09 BlogHer conference in Chicago, where she was interviewed for the PBS documentary, Digital Nation.
Since 2005, Daniela has freelanced as a multi-platform producer, director, writer and camera lady

. She now devotes most of her free time to POC Zine Project and preparing to adopt a teen.
Daniela enjoys traveling, reading, film festivals, doing geeky stuff and spending time with her friends.
