Just a friendly reminder: I write books! Well, I've written one book. It's a fantasy novel. If you want to purchase it in .mobi or .epub, you can do so directly from the publisher's store, as well as from Amazon and B&N. It's also available in paperback from Amazon. (Links below.)

Why should you buy it? Well, here's what some people said about it.

"Orison is one of the best leaps of faith I've taken on a fantasy book. It has dragon gods and goddesses, a thieves' guild, sorcerers, and a mysterious orb all colliding with each other in spectacular fashion." - Amazon reviewer

"Neither overlong (250 pages) nor grimdark, this novel moves at a breakneck pace, featuring taut descriptions of battle and kinetic chase scenes. Recommended!" - Rafael Chandler

"I commend the author for keeping this book accessible to a wide audience. As a parent, I appreciate when I can read a book which was written for adults then hand it to my middle-school daughter. Orison is such a book. Not pedantic or "dumbed down" at all, it still avoids the language or sex that would make it inaccessible to a young or religious audience. This is a novel you can give to any fantasy lovers who have worked their way up to that reading level." - Marissa Ames

"There are shades of The Black Company and Steven Erikson's Malazan books running through this, in terms of feel, though I found the story to be wholly original." - R.S. Kimsey

" I could hardly put it down until I finished (if I had a choice, I never would have put it down)." - Brooke Johnson

I keep hoping The Path is gonna take off into some mystical Jodorowsky antics with the dead coming back to life and characters succumbing to terrifying visions while driving and people getting raptured in the line at Chipotle but no, it's all "are we gonna get 501(c)(3) certified"

Last night the wife and I watched Doctor Strange. It's the story of an insufferable ass who listens to Chuck Mangione and is terrible to people, in that order. But everything changes one day when he is in a debilitating car accident, and somehow he becomes an even worse human being. Then he learns magic and is an ass to the people who taught him magic. But they all put up with him, because they taught him magic and there's not much stopping a pottymouth narcissist who can go back in time to insult your mom for literally plus infinity. But is Strange ready for his greatest challenge: to be a titanic asshole to a boss demon from the dark dimension? But seriously, it was pretty good. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get punched out of your body and get neon space fractals shot into your eyeballs like hot liquid Starburst. I wanted to see some Mads Mikkelsen and some wild Inception FX antics and that's what I got. I give it eight sentient murderous mom-cloaks out of 10.

Caught Big Trouble in Little China with a buddy over the weekend. Probably my tenth time seeing it, and he caught onto something that I never have in all my viewings: Jack Burton communicates almost entirely through questions. Some American heroes come to the situation sure they have a handle on it. Not ol' Jack.
