Some of them try really, really hard and I kind feel for the folks on the other end of the line seems like their hands are tied a lot. A few of them seemed thought they actually fixed my issues a few times. But in the end it was all for naught.
Several days of couple hour long phone calls the result in having no working phones (needing to be transferred a couple of times each time and explain the problem in excruciating detail every time having them ask the same silly troubleshooting questions as well as what my pets name is... and waiting for "their system to work" ). The number had been transferred to them but it turned out that the sim card they told us the number would be transferred to wouldn't work because it had been deactivated after being activated with the wrong number.... Same process with AT&T took one < 30 minute long phone call and less than a day.
Now I get the joy of calling their refund department.
