Very helpful if you are looking to create a multithread queue / producer consumer type model. It's not in-depth, which is something I couldn't find elsewhere.
The producer consumer problem occurs in multithreaded processes when there is a limited amount of memory, so we must allocate memory appropriately.

I started a blog and website. I want to help out fellow programmers, scientist, and computer users like other bloggers have helped me. There isn't much there yet, but keep an eye out!

I think a few of the reviews from volunteers are pretty spot on. We have adopted two dogs now and both adoptions were easy. They asked for three references but got back to us in under 4 days. A few of the staff come of as a bit "judgmental", but nearly all are very nice and working their butts off! Every time I have gone in they are working hard to care for the dogs and assist the potential owners who come to look. I'm sure they get some people that really shouldn't have a pet, so give them a break :) I imagine I'd come off as a bit judgmental if I saw the things they see. One of the first dogs I looked at seemed great. I came back to see the dog another time and they immediately let me know they noticed the dog object guarding. Since we have a kid, that pup wouldn't fit our family. (She went to a veteran in Colorado Springs) And that's how it goes... They try to get to know the animals, but with limited time - and the fact that the animal is in a shelter and not a home - they just don't know how that animal will behave once you take it. I highly encourage anyone to check out MaxFund. When you go, just be aware that they don't know everything about the animals they take in. And they recently renovated. The building is clean and has lots of windows (I'm talking about the dog center - we haven't adopted a cat - yet...).

I went for muay thai classes and they were pretty expensive ($100 per month after the promotional period). The instructors are fantastic and facility is great, but at that price, I expected much smaller classes. If they fix the class size, fix the pricing, or even better (5 star) fix both, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. FYI: I'm a graduate student and thus why it's out of my price range. The Anschutz Health and Wellness Center cuts us a very nice deal of $35 per month no contract and the facility is superb. But they don't have muay thai :(

The Health and Wellness Center is a wonderful facility. I'm lucky because they cut the price for graduate students down to $35 per month. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be able to afford going here. The people are great, the personal training is about average price, it is always very clean, and they have lots of classes. The one thing I would love to see is a professional instructor for muay thai, jujustu, or some other self defense class. Aside from those things, check it out! They have all sorts of amenities including performance testing, dietitians, sauna & steam room, small pool, massage therapy, etc.

The church looks nice from the outside, but man... Every so often, they play loud loud music on Sundays or other events. It was better for a while, but lately, it is getting bad again. It's loud enough that I can hear it over my headphones inside the house :-/ Also, on Sundays / other event days, attendees will take up parking throughout the neighborhood. Although this is partially an inner city living problem, I still believe that as a responsible institution in our neighborhood, the church should work harder to address it. Sometimes, parking can be taken up 1/4mi+ past our house. In short, I'm sure people love to come visit this church, but could you please be better neighbors to us?
