I first saw a 3D printer back in 2000 and right then and there i knew i wanted one so bad. But at the time there was no RepRap project and with the price tag of the 3D printers available back then, owning one was nothing but a distant dream.
11 years later in 2011 when the RepRap project had been going for a few years i found the MakerBot Thing-O-Matic 3D printer and it was love at first sight, i ordered one on the spot. It came as a kit and i built it over a weekend with my dad.
Owning a 3D printer has been exactly like or even more than i could ever dream it would be. As someone who enjoyed making things using whatever tools made available to me this technology certainly opened new doors in terms of what i could make. It wouldn´t be completely wrong to say that my life changed on that day back in 2011. I have been able to materialize so many ideas that i couldn´t imagine just a few years earlier. Who could have thought that an entire community with thousands of engaging members would emerge from something that i made. Or that my designs would be used to promote not only the technology but the companies and people i look up to. And that a simple test design i did for work would become one of the most printed designs in the industry.
So how does one tell a story like that in 2 minutes. I have no idea but i have tried to compile some footage of some of the projects i have done thru the years in a showreel style video. Unfortunately i´m not a video guy so it might not be Oscar material but i hope that my love for this amazing technology comes thru in this video and maybe, just maybe someone get´s inspired to start their own journey!

Back in 2011 i bought my first 3D printer, a MakerBot Thing-O-Matic and it was everything i dreamed it would be. As someone who loves making things this was a gamechanger allowing me to materialize ideas i could only dream of making real just a few years earlier.
As a way to showcase a few of my things that i have done thru the years and also as a way to show my love for this amazing technology i made this 2 minute 3D printing reel.
I hope you like it.

I can´t help it, i just had to put my 360 camera on the OpenRC F1 car and take around the racetrack to get some fun360 footage. It´s shaky and my driving could be better but it´s still kinda fun to watch the other cars closing in and passing and being able to follow their way around my car.
If your interested in the camera it´s a Xiaomi mijia 3.5K 360° Panorama Action Camera and you can read more about it here:

Btw, the other cars are variants of the HPD F1 by +Kent Asplund which is a competition grade 3D printed F1 car. I got to try it out and drive a few laps and i was very impressed with it. Check it out and download the files here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1718069

It would be really cool to show of a video with the OpenRC FPV Mini Quad doing that awesome flying you see in all those videos you see on YouTube. But it takes time to learn this stuff. So i thought i´d just let you guys in on this little journey of mine learning to fly.
Today was my 4th time flying and of course i ended up sending it straight to the ground. Still good fun! =)

I was out flying the OpenRC mini quad for the second time yesterday. As a beginner I do expect a few close calls and this was one of them when I kissed the treetops! =)
Managed to fly away which I'm more than happy with.
