I need every one of these! Especially "effect" and "affect", for some reason I always have to think twice about that. I think the real problem with "effect" and "affect" is the 5-10% of the time when "effect" is a verb (I will effect change) and "affect" is a noun (the patient suffered from a diminished affect).

You can turn ANY program that uses STDIN/STDOUT into a full duplex messaging #WebSocket server using websocketd. Yep that means: Bash, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Clojure, Scala, Groovy, C, C++, C#, VB.Net, F#, Swift, Objective-C, R, VBScript, Lua, Awk, Expect, AppleScript, Haskell, Go, D, Pascal, Assembly, ML, ZSH, Fortran, Tcl, Ocaml...

Who wants to see what the alpha versions of #jQuery  looked like? Did you know that jQuery started out as jselect? Want to see the original snippet that started it all?

This blog post by +Axel Rauschmayer is a good break down of ECMAScript 6 promises, and an interesting proof-of-concept for executing asynchronous JavaScript using generators.
No promises: asynchronous JavaScript with only generators. Labels: dev, esnext, javascript. Two ECMAScript 6 [1] features enable an intriguing new style of asynchronous JavaScript code: promises [2] and generators [3]. This blog post explains this new style and presents a way of using it without ...

#Angular2  will be developed in  #TypeScript . For the last several months, the Microsoft TypeScript and Google Angular teams have been working closely together and have converged the TypeScript and #AtScript languages.

If JSX means JavaScript XML then it seems to me that the name for Coffee React should be CSX for CoffeeScript XML not CJSX that stands for CoffeeScript JavaScript XML. #CoffeeScript   #ReactJS

Hmm never mind looks like the .csx file extension is already taken by C#

Has anyone here been invited to #TabrisJS? It looks interesting, the site says it doesn't use WebViews. Sounds a bit like #ReactNative . I'm curious about how it works and how well it performs.
Native development in JavaScript. tabris.js is a mobile framework that lets you develop native iOS and Android apps entirely in JavaScript. And trust us, you will not be able to tell the difference from native Objective-C / Swift / Java apps. iPhone Illustration ...

Here are my observations :-
1. Amazed by the performance.
2. However the independence you have in WebView based development is lost.
3. Lost track of the very essence of Cordova (ruling out the fragmentation of native device apis and bringing them under single hood of Web, There are android and iOS specific APIS which kinda jumbled me)
4. If there is a framework or a toolchain that will migrate existing HTML/CSS/JS code to JS - centric codebase then that will be good thing.
5. Not suitable for rapid application development (As far as my experience).
6. Desperately need a UI framework to ease the app development process (like what jQuery did to conventional Javascript)

But really a very nice initiative to improve the performance of the JS based mobile apps. This project should be considered as a boost to app development using Web technologies.

Great job Tabris development team!! Kudos!!

Finally! After four days, I was able to my head back into working on my book again... I wanted to write, I had time to write, but just could not make myself do it! What's up with that?!

Second Write or Die.  I'd say at least 2/3 of my first draft material is written in WoD.
