Ironic that if taxpayers win they'll have to file a 1099-MISC for the class action settlement.
Pretty much any time thousands of people get their personal information stolen because a company failed to secure itsservers, you can count on a lawsuit. That’s the case the recent IRS hack that exposed over 300,000 taxpayers’ info. Some of those taxpayers are now suing the IRS for the screw up.

Great collection of #CSS3 snippets. Though, if you're using a decent CSS framework many of them like reset, pull-left, clearfix, etc. would already be included.

Looking forward to trying out scheduling background tasks using requestIdleCallback!

First implementation of requestIdleCallback is in Chrome Canary!

What is it? It allows applications to cooperatively schedule background tasks such that they do not introduce delays to other high priority tasks that share the same event loop, such as input processing, animations and frame compositing.

For more details on the API, the spec, and more examples, see:
https://w3c.github.io/requestidlecallback/

Finally, to get started:
- Boot up Chrome Canary
- Enable chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features
- Restart the browser
- Experiment with rIC, ..., and please provide feedback!

+Vicky Garg Good question, a very interesting property of the event loop model is that JavaScript, unlike a lot of other languages, never blocks. Handling I/O is typically performed via events and callbacks, so when the application is waiting for an IndexedDB query to return or an async XHR request to return, it can still process other things like user input.

A device the size of a peppercorn can activate neurons of the brain, spinal cord or limbs in mice and is powered wirelessly using the mouse's own body to transfer energy. Developed by a Stanford Bio-X team, the device is the first to deliver optogenetic nerve stimulation in a fully implantable format.

Do you use Git? Master branching visually.

learngitbranching.js.org claims to be the most visual and interactive way to learn Git on the web; you'll be challenged with exciting levels, given step-by-step demonstrations of powerful features, and maybe even have a bit of fun along the way.

+1 for 3D printing rockets!

Yes! We just developed & tested one of the most complex rocket engine parts ever made with a 3-D printer! The turbopump we created will be key in enhancing space vehicle designs and enabling affordable missions on our #JourneyToMars: http://go.nasa.gov/1fH1J8Y

NASA recently sponsored new research into turning human waste into useful things, like food and plastic. Could be useful for long-term spaceflight someday.
