I love tilt-shift photography, and this has to be one of my favorites. This is a photo of the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis, taken from a WB-57 High Altitude Research plane.

A little while ago I shared a picture of this nifty looking ice cream sandwich dessert thing. Tonight my best friend and I decided to give it a shot. Three layers of ice cream sandwiches with caramel in between, Cool Whip over top and more caramel on top of that. To my surprise, it wasn't obnoxiously rich. It was quite delicious. I recommend it.

Life gets a little bit on the weird side of town and if we see something different we react with a Awwee or wow or :0! But if someone then tell you. That's been around since 10 years ago... You feel stupid... :/

There are times I wish I could remember this verbatim so I could use it on certain people, and they'd deserve every word of it (partly because this is so devastating and partly because it's true). Then again, sometimes it's just more satisfying to call someone a butt cheek and giggle like a child.

This is going to be fun! Wish I had a better camera for it.

The United States will be in a prime orbital position & time of day to view the total lunar #eclipse! It starts at ~2 a.m. EDT & peaks at around 3:45 a.m. More: http://go.nasa.gov/1kqLegk

Statue Of A Homeless Jesus Startles A Wealthy Community
Some neighbors felt it was an insulting depiction of the Son of God, and what appears to be a hobo curled up on a bench demeans the neighborhood.

I like what this church is doing. I like that it's openly challenging people to get away from that whole ~American Jesus~ thing we have going on. Also, maybe it can teach people to look a little harder at what Jesus had to say about the poor before we go on another tirade about the "moocher class," perhaps?
The bronze sculpture depicting Jesus huddled under a blanket on a park bench has provoked praise and complaints — and a call to the police — in its new North Carolina neighborhood.

It really is a novel idea. I was speaking a little bit tongue in cheek, as I have had to sleep outdoors in the past.

I like it. A nice, positive way of getting out the message, and it's positive towards the people who really need it.

Mississippi businesses defy anti-gay 'religious freedom' law with 'We don't discriminate' decals

"A new campaign launched by a group of entrepreneurs is taking off in Mississippi. Businesses have begun displaying the decals, which are being produced by Equality Mississippi, in their front windows. Let's hope the whole state gets on board."

And from the comments, "a declaration for open, equal , non-discriminatory practices by non biased owners of businesses. I'm all for it." Excellent.

I don't see how this "defies" the law, but it's a great counterpoint that hurts no one in a free market. Bravo.

I have a policy where, if someone interrupts me while I'm speaking, I won't finish my thought even if asked. It makes me sound like kind of a jerk, but I'm a little tired of being treated like what I have to say isn't important. If you are really interested in what I'm saying, maybe you'll let me finish the first time.

When students ask me something that I just said, or that I've already stated several times during the class period, I'll refuse to answer their question. I'll tell them, "You obviously don't listen to me anyway; now you'll have to beg one of your classmates to fill you in."

Introduction
I'm just someone who writes for a living, enjoys gaming more than is probably healthy, occasionally takes photographs and has a deep affinity for chocolate. Most of my writing is YA fantasy and fiction, but I've also strayed into writing articles on everything from psychology to politics.
