#Facebook #Marketing article from Pic-N-Post, perfect for the hotel industry.
The hotel industry is one of the most competitive industries out there. There are a plethora of hotels sprinkled in almost every major city, all vying for the same out-of-town guests. The question on every hotelier's mind is how to make your property stand out in a crowd.

Hello friends,

As some of you know, over the last month I have been working on a new media project that presents a homegrown look at all things business in the City of Houston. Houston Business Weekly has covered the Rice Business Plan Competition, Executive Entrepreneur Hour and some of the fastest rising startups in the city.

I wanted to reach out to officially invite you to become involved in the Houston Business Weekly community. We have launched our profile registration portion of HBW, which will allow registered members the opportunity to take advantage of a host of potential site functions. One of those functions is a job board, so if you have job openings, please feel free to use our service to your advantage.

Membership is short and sweet: just register an email, user name and password process and you're done.

Thank you very much. If you have any questions about the site, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Thanks,

Daniel

It's not necessarily an overstatement to say that we lost the best male actor on the planet last night. Philip Seymour Hoffman's movies will, undoubtedly, immortalize him, and that's something to be grateful for. It's a damn shame though, and it's hard to be quite as grateful for that.

Thanks for the flicks, Phil.

"Dude, we just don't know."

As much as I can "love" the dentist, I would apply that sentiment to Dr. Kaestner's office. He is as good as they come: knowledgeable, calming and informative. I've gone to him for years and his office is flawless. Great people. Great service. Great dentist.

Great food. Great wine. Little pricy, but very classy.

Was just with a group at this location and the person who led the group was asked by the owner and manager to leave because - get this - "we were doing business and there were too many people coming and going." Interesting in that NONE of us left the restaurant once our party sat at the table. As for "doing business", I thought that was the sort of thing wine bars welcomed. You know, closing deals over a glass of wine, feeling good and celebrating by drinking and therefore spending money at the establishment. Way to kill the mood there Sonoma. Don't worry though. I'll make sure to let the business community know they aren't welcome. Oh, and if you don't want people coming in with laptops to do business, kill the wifi. We business folk are modern. Normally, I let this kind of thing slide. But these people were SO rude and SO beyond what they should have done that I felt the need to tell the internet. In a nutshell: These people are rude jerks who don't understand business, service or decency to customers. And they're running a wine bar, no less. Congratulations Sonoma. You have gotten my first and so far only negative review on the web.

I think the following will suffice as a gold star review for Art Deco: My parents and I have gotten our hair cut there for at least 15 years. My Grandma gets her hair cut there and has done so for the last decade or so. My brother got his hair cut there his whole life until he moved away in the past few years. My Grandpa, rest in peace, used to get his hair cut there. Bea is a great stylist. She has a knack for good cuts and she is a special woman, in a good location. She helps you look good and feel good with great haircuts at a reasonable rate. There is a reason we have all stayed with her.
