Cirque de Salazie on Réunion

After our three-day hiking trip into the Cirque de Mafate we returned to Col de Bœufs. Col de Bœufs is the connection between Cirque de Mafate and Cirque de Salazie where you can park your car to start your hike into Mafate. From this point you have a fantastic view into both Cirques.

This shot shows Cirque de Salazie where you can see the parking area on the very left, on the right is Hell-Bourg, which is a small village in the Cirque. The left small village is Grand Îlet.

Sunrise seen from Piton des Neiges (3069 m (10069 ft)), Réunion

During our stay on Réunion we also hiked to the summit of Piton des Neiges which is the highest point on Réunion and also the highest point in the Indian Ocean. It's possible to do the trail as a two-day hike with an overnight stay at the Gîte de la Caverne Dufour and to do the summit in the very early morning hours. We started at 03:00 AM at the Gîte to be on time at the summit for the sunrise. Together with some other people we were on the summit to wait for the sunrise. Finally we had this beautiful view at the sunrise and it was really a magic moment to see it.

La cascade de Grand Galet or Cascades Langevin on Réunion

Since 2 weeks I'm back from my beautiful holiday on the island Réunion, a french island between Madagascar and Mauritius.

Of course I have made some photos and last week I have finished to sort out all the photos and do a little postprocessing on them. So let's start with this shot which shows the Grand Galet Falls or also named Langevin Falls. As you may see on the shot it was raining very strong and it was hard to manage that my camera and stuff wasn't too wet during this shot. I will post more shots the next days from my trip and the beautiful landscape of Réunion.

Out in the woods

I was hiking with my mum and we passed this small trail during our hike, I couldn't resist and had to shot this photo.

I have taken the shot somewhere near Mühlenbach, Black Forest in Germany.

Graustock (2662m) near Engstlenalp, Switzerland

You can see Graustock peak in the middle of the photo. On the very left this is the peak of Rotsandnollen. Graustock is a member of the Urner Alps.
I hope that you will enjoy this view as much as I did when I was hiking there last summer. Rest a moment, enjoy the view and dream on. :-)

Have a nice weekend!

Cool, i've been biking today, in the south of France, but I've to clean up my "lens" or inside the camera to take picture.

I've some ridiculous pics from my phone.

Minutes after the sunrise on Piton des Neiges (3069 m (10069 ft)), Réunion

As you have read on my last post (or maybe not) we were on Piton des Neiges and watched the sunrise. After looking a long time towards east, we turned around and looked directly to the west and had this beautiful view at Grand Bénare 2898m (9507 ft). On the left you can see Cilaos (which is located in a caldera and named Cirque de Cilaos), behind the ridge on the right you will find Marla (a very small village which is not reachable by car and which is also located in another caldera named Cirque de Mafate).

I hope that you enjoy this view as much as we did on top of Piton des Neiges.

Eastern coast of Réunion near Piton Sainte-Rose

As I promised two days ago here is my next shot from Réunion. This time you can see the rough eastern coast of Réunion near Piton Sainte-Rose. A beautiful hiking trail along the coast leads you from Piton Sainte-Rose to the Anse des Cascades (Waterfall bay) with lots of waterfalls and a small harbor.
Along the trail you are hiking through different kinds of landscapes, you are passing cold lava fields, different kinds of forests and beautiful small bays with black stones.

More shots will follow the next days, hope you like them.

Geroldsau Waterfall, near Baden-Baden, Germany

The second time that I went to this beautiful waterfall. This time the flowers bloomed all around the waterfall.
If you ever visit this small waterfall then you have to go during May, then you will have all the beauty of this place....enjoy.

View at the Kinzig valley from the Urenkopftower (observation tower) near Haslach / Black Forest / Germany

I had this beautiful view during a hike with my mom to the top of Urenkopf tower which is a observation tower. You can see Haslach in the middle of photo, the valley is called Kinzig valley, because of the river Kinzig which runs through this valley.

I love the Black Forest, it's a great place to be.

This shot is also my contribution to +Mountain Monday, curated by +Michael Russell

It's time for a review or my 1 1/2 years with the Renault Zoe
I have composed a short and very objective review of my last 1 1/2 year with the Renault Zoe. Mainly it's about the charging behavior and the costs I had.

Feel free to have a look if you're interested: http://isenmann.blogspot.de/2015/10/its-time-for-review-or-my-1-12-years.html
