Only in Japan - massive geeks :)
Some dedicated Star Wars fans in Japan have just created what may be the most epic pieces of Star Wars art that I've ever seen. The Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces' 11th Brigade used bulldozers to move 3,500 tons of snow into a pile that they then carefully crafted into a 23m-wide and 15m-tall epic monument to Darth Vader and his Imperial forces.

I just started the third book in the Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix. Good fantasy, and Tim Curry does a fantastic job reading the audio book.

I'm finding due to the sketch program I'm using on my phone that I can spot those errors during WIP video more easily than looking at the static product. I think it's because once there's a plausible detail there we're inclined to keep it even if it's against our original vision; seeing the WIP lets me go, NOPE, wrong shape, before additional plausible details get laid on top.

When are you free lately? If we can't game together at least I wanna draw.

I’ve been looking forward to the Rosetta Landing for quite some time. Sure, not as long as many who have worked on the project, but I had been following the ...

I feel like this echoes my sentiment pretty much exactly. There's some "okay, but it's in poor taste given the intended audience (everyone - as the article points out, including kids in school)" and there's some "y'know, a guy wearing that would give me low-range creepvibes in person even if he told me his ladyartistfriend made it" and then there was a whole lot of "wow, good on you, mate, for caring how your actions affect people in ways unrelated to your intentions or awareness, and doubly good on you for CHOOSING TO BECOME AWARE. Go you."

But cis-het white middle-class -- BUT NERDY THEREFORE "UNDERDOG" -- guy doing science vs. shrieking feminist harpies foaming to kill everything you love! Clickbait clickbait "controversy" .

It's like, this is why we can't have nice things. There's literally no effort being made on part of the audience to even respect his reaction, let alone each other. We can't even perceive that people are reaching out to bridge a divide because THERE IS A DIVIDE AND WE'RE ON THIS SIDE AND THAT MEANS HE'S ON THIS/THAT SIDE rabble rabble.

I want to quit this species, except apparently it's the same species as just landed on a comet, and I really wonder what the hell has happened here.

This is amazing.

Math concepts which are easy to explain visually:

- why circles and right-angle triangles and angles are all related
- why sine is opposite over hypotenuse and so on
- why cosine is simply sine but offset by pi/2 radians .

I like the video. You have good ideas about how to use reference effectively to better our work. It also helps to show us what it takes to make these videos. Hopefully, more people will appreciate what you're doing this way.
