Interesting that longtime residents may be more likely to stay in place during gentrification, but I'd be curious how long that lasts. Just because they have a longer interval between moves, the moves previously may have been within the neighborhood and not forced, eventually, to give up their neighborhood to the nouveau riche and move to a more affordable neighborhood. This is not even to take into account the loss of small businesses to service jobs for the new residents.

I've always had a hard time explaining my learning disability and what it's like on a daily basis. Great to see someone take on this subject. Hope this gets spread around and people can start to understand how others interpret the world.

During the Arab Spring I argued that by focusing on the technology aspect dis-empowered the people using that technology. This article makes another important distinction about the use of technology, democracy, and free speech.

Reading this reminded me of how much I've disliked schooling, but how much I've loved learning. Also, makes me wonder about why I loved science in public school. It was the only class where you are given the chance to explore on your own and figure out why something happened. Only in some college classes in the humanities was I given that type of freedom again but what if I had that at 10 years old?

The history of Cincy mayoral campaigns has been linked to transportation projects for over a century now. One mayor is elected and pushes through a project. Then an opponent in need of an issue uses the transportation project. Net result is tons of money and nothing to show. Fingers crossed for a new story line Cincy
