I was just mugged a few hours, by three young guys in a white Myvi while walking from work from SS15 to SS17. It's no longer safe to walk in suburbs any more. The police even advised that you should drive even within suburb. They picked me clean, my phone, wallet, keys and bag. I was just around the corner from my house too.
Since I was coming home from work, it meant my bag had my laptop in it as well. Both the bag and the laptop are not common, so please share with others in case somebody tries to sell either. One is a black Chrome Messenger bag, the laptop is a Thinkpad X1.
Luckily I'm not hurt, even though I tried to fight them off. Please share this among friends to be on the lookout, if they hear of these items trying to be sold in coming days or being used.
Malaysian streets are really not safe any more. The people that mugged me does not fit your standard stereotype. They looked like Chinese college kids and were in a Myvi. The police also shared with me that, this is now the norm. It's not just guys on motorbikes anymore
If you have any information with regards to these items, please give a call and report to Subang Jaya police station: 03 56332222.
